1.Introduction
1.1.Purpose
The growing number of students in higher institutions all over the world has posed a lot of
accommodation problem on the part of students. The whole process of hostel/pg/rooms allocation
and management is done manually. The hostels near by institutions, are difficult to locate for new
students coming from different states.There will be language problem as well to communicate with
the broker or the hostel/pg/room owner. Statistics on the number of rooms required to match the
growing number of students are far-fetched. Most often, the overall process is time consuming and
requires a lot of effort, student’s information retrieval is difficult and records are unsecured due to
manual method of storage using hard cover notes. It was easy even on the part of brokers who could
not give accurate information of the occupancy of a particular room. These and many more form the
statement of the problem that necessitated this application.

2.Overall Description
2.1.Product Perspective

The main perspective of building this application is to reduce the manual work and henceforth
reducing the complexity of finding nearby hostels/pg/rooms according to the necessity of the
student on price,location,number of rooms and other facility needs.Student can find a hostel/pg/
room without any hassle of knowing the local language in budget and lowest price possible!

2.2.Module Descriptions

This application has the following modules:

1)Login/Registration:User has to first register with some details by filling up a registration

form.The broker/owner will also have to register providing some details about themselves and then
both user and the broker can login using their unique id and passwords.

2)User profile:After the user successfully logs into his account,his/her profile opens where he can
search for nearby hostels/pg/rooms according to his needs and availability and view pictures of the
property and see reviews and ratings of that property and can book an appointment.

3)Owner/broker profile:After successful login of owner/broker,he can view his profile.The owner/
broker can fill a form and add details about their property with pictures and can view if any
appointment has been scheduled by the user.
