 NCR

- The National Capital Region (NCR) does not have any provinces
unlike the other 17 Philippine regions. Metro Manila, is the most
populous of the twelve defined metropolitan areas in the
Philippines and the 11th most populous in the world.
The region is the political, economic, social, cultural, and
educational center of the Philippines. Metro Manila is the political,
economic, social, and cultural center of the Philippines and there
are so many big buildings, malls, hotels and etc. Manila is the
designated capital and seat of the Philippine government. And
there many tourist spot in this region like the Fort Santiago, Rizal
park and the Mega malls like the SM City North EDSA which is
the second largest Mall tallied in the world.

 CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region)

- is an administrative region in the Philippines situated within the island


of Luzon. The only landlocked region in the insular country, it is
bordered by the Ilocos Region to west and southwest, and by the Cagayan
Valley Region to the north, east, and southeast.

The region comprises six landlocked provinces: Abra, Apayao, Benguet,


Ifugao, Kalinga and Mountain Province, The regional center is the highly
urbanized city of Baguio.

The Cordillera Administrative Region is the is home to indigenous


cultures, traditions and beliefs in different tribal ethnicity such as Igorot,
Kalingan, Ifugaos and many others spread in isolated communities in
various parts of the region. And this region known of their mountain rage
like the famous famous which is the Banaue Rice Terrace.

 ARMM (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao)

-The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is


located in Southern part of the Philippines.And it is an island group
of the Philippines with five Muslim provinces: Basilan, Lanao Del
Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Taw-tawi. Its capital is Shariff Aguak.
The people collectively call themselevs a “balsamoro” to identify
themselves under the islamic the islamic law and culture.
The ARMM region has many well known tourist spot like the most
beautiful islands in the Philippines is the Island province of Tawi-tawi
like the ,Turtle Islands and the Sibutu Natural Wildlife Sactuary ,
Tombs of Sultan Kudarat and Datu Mastura in Sultan Kudarat. In
basilan is the Kalun’s Park/Shrine located in Lamitan Basilan the
The Walled City located in jolo, Sulu province and etc..

 Region 1 (Ilocos Region)

-The Ilocos Region is composed 4 provinces.Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur,


La Union and Pangasinan. Majority of the population they speaks Ilocano
ilocano is the third largest spoken language in the Philippines, but some
numbers also speak Pangasinense. Dialects. The region 1 specializes in
the following products and industries: like  rice, corn, garlic, legumes,
root crops, tobacco, and other fruits and vegetables and in fishery like
milkfish "bangus" . Pangasinan's aquaculture includes oyster and sea
urchin farms. and some if the region has different handicraft and in
tourism industry there are many tourist desalination to go like in Ilocos
Norte the Bangui Windmills in Bangui, Ilocos Norte. Ilocos Sur in the “Calle
Crisologo” in Vigan. The Ma-Cho Temple in La union. And the hundred
small islands and islets in the Lingayen Gulf, Pangasinan.

 Region 2 (Cagayan Valley)

-This region is one of the beautiful places in the Philippines and this
region is known as the smallest province is the Batanes the “home of the
wind” The region abounds with natural resources and development
potentials that consist of rich agriculture areas, forest lands and grass
lands, minerals and marine resources. And region 2 has 5 provinces
Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.

The earliest inhabitants are the Agta, or Atta, food gatherers who roam
the forests without fixed abodes. The bulk of the population are of Malay
origin. For centuries before the coming of the Spanish, the inhabitants
traded with Indians, Malays, Chinese, and Japanese. Region 2 has
woderful tourist spot like the Basco lighthouse in batanes , Callao cave in
Cagayan, Bonsai Forest in Isabela, Climb Mt. Pulag in Nueva Vizcaya
and the Governor's Rapids in Quirino.

 Region 3 (Central Luzon)

-One of the leading growth regions in the Philippines. It is


strategically located at the heart of Asia, and no other place with sea and
air travel.and is divided into seven (7) provinces, namely: Aurora, Bataan,
Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales. The City of San
Fernando, in Pampanga, is the regional center. Aurora was transferred
from Region IV by Executive Order No. 103.

Region 3 is one of the most active region in the country because of the
crossoad of the pacific ocean and the bushiness opportunity of the
american.

Cnral luzon has an amazing tourist spot like the:Camp O’


Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, the skty ranch in Pampanga, ocean adventure
in Subic bay and many more wonderful tourist spots to adventure in
Region 3.

 Region IV (CALABARZON)

The provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon are


all part of the region closest to Metro Manila. This makes
Calabarzon a favorite destination for day trips and weekend
getaways. The  Calabarzon has seen steady industrial growth and
urbanization in recent years. But the local culture is still very much
alive. Historical landmarks, monuments, old churches, and shrines
dot the region’s landscape.

Calabarzon has many wonderful tourist destination like the Aguinaldo


Shrine in Cavite, pasanjan falls in Laguna, Taal Volcano in Batangas,
Mystical Cave in Rizal province, and the Kamay ni Hesus Shrine in
Quezon provinces.
 Region V (Bicol region)

- Bicol region has 6 Provinces Albay, Camarines


Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, and the island-provinces of
Catanduanes and Masbate. And the NIA ( NATIONAL
IRRIGATION ADMINISTRATION) Region 5, also known
as Bicol Region.

Region 5 has a advantage in terms of tourism because of the presence of


Mt. Mayon as the world's most perfect natural cone. Add to this are
beaches, natural parks and other historical, religious and archaeological
sites, which are favorite tourist destinations and many tourist go to this
place to witness the beauty of bicol region. While in tradition and culture
the bikolona still existing indigenous peoples (IPs) or indigenous cultural
community (ICC) are locally classified into two major tribes; namely, the
Agta or Itom and the Kabihug or Abianindigenous clothing of bicolanos
and still they continue the legacy and culture to their ancestor.

Some of the tourist spot in region 5 is like the Mayon Volcano in albay,
Malatap Falls in Camarines Norte, Mount Isarog in Camarinees Sur, thr
baguyin falls in Sorsogon, Hike Up to Binurong Point in Catanduanes
and the witness the Wild wild west with Rodeo Festival in Masbate.

 Region 6 (Western Visayas)

- This Region is composed of the provinces of Negros Occidental,


Iloilo, Antique, Capiz and Aklan. And the highly urbanized in this
region is the city of Bacolod and Negros Occedental, And the
Negros Oriental is the Country’s “Sugar Bowl since the Spanish
era. Negros Occidntal has sprawling sugar haciendas and the
grandiose ancestral mansions of sugar barons.

And their culture has been heavily influenced by both the Spanish and the
later American occupations of the region. The indigenous religion long gave way to
Roman Catholicism as the dominant religion. The people of Negros Occidental value
hospitality, family, humor and hard work.

The tourist spot in Region 6 is wonderful like The Ruins in Bacolod, Garin Farm in
Iloilo, Seco Island in Antique, the well konw Boracay in Aklan, and the Lakawon in
Cadiz City.. and there are many tourist spot in Region ^ that we need to explore..
 Region 7 (Central Visayas)

Central Visayas is an island group  It consists of four provinces—


Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor— and the highly urbanized
cities of Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City. And the
language use in the is Cebuano

And they are many tourist spot like the well known like the Basilica de
Santo Niño in Cebu City, the Apo Island in Negros Oriental, the
Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor and the Chocolaate hills in Bohol. And
region 6 has many extreme and beautiful tourist spot to explore amd
festival to witness.

 Region 8 (Eastern Visayas)

Eastern Visayas  consists of six provinces: Leyte, Biliran, Southern


Leyte,West Samar, Eastern Samar and Northern Samar.

Cultural groups Region VIII is inhabited by the Waray-Warays, the


country's fourth largest cultural linguistic group. Cebuanos from the
nearby island of Cebu live in Ormoc City, Western Leyte and parts of the
Southwest of Leyte. They langguages is spoken is Waray-waray.

Many tourist spot in this region like the MacArthur Landing Memorial
Park in Leyte, Recoletos Falls in Biliran, The Our Lady of the
Assumption Shrine in Southern Leyte, in West Samar is the Sohoton
cave, Balangiga Bells in Eastern Samar,Pink Beach in Northen Samar.

 Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula)

The Region 9 or Zamboanga Peninsula, as it is known now, was formerly
Western Mindanao is in the southernmost portion of the country. It is
bounded by: Sulu Sea on the north; Illana Bay and Moro Gulf on the
south; Misamis Occidental, La nao del Norte and Panguil Bay on the east;
and the Celebes Sea on the west.

This consists of three provinces (Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga


del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay) and two autonomous urban areas
(Isabela City and Zamboanga City).
The region’s population is composed of ethnic people. These groups,
usually erroneously classified under the general heading of Muslims, are
actually distinct from each other in culture. They are generally divided
into the Tausugs, Yakans, Badjaos, Samals, and the Subanons of
Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay.

Here some of the tourist spot in region 9. The José  Rizal Memorial
Protected Landscape in Dapitan Zamboanga del Norte, in Zamboanga del
Sur is the Fort PIlar a military fortress in 1th century, the Rotunda
Obelisk in Zamboanga Sibugay, The Paseo del Mar in Zamboanga City
and the Kaum Purnah Mosque Isabela City. and more to explore in this
region.

 Region 10 (Northern Mindanao)

NORTHERN MINDANAO is an administrative region of the


Philippines and is designated as Region 10. • It comprises of 5
provinces namely Camiguin, Bukidnon, Lanao Del Norte, Misamis
Ociidental and Misamis Oriental. It has 2 highly urbanized city
which are the Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City.

This region known to has preserved thier trtibal and customs, The
region's culture is also be seen in their churches and
establishments. And region 10 has many region like the Mango
Festival Carme, Agustine del Norte, T'Nalak Festival,
Koronadal, South Cotabato and more.

 Region 11 (Davao Region)

This  region is famous for its rich mineral resources.


Reserves of gold, copper, manganese and nickel are found
in this part of the country.Davao Region is located on the
southeastern portion of Mindanao, comprises 5 provinces:
Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental and
Davao del Sur. And the cultural gropups in the region are
mix like Cebuano Boholanos and etc.

And This Region is Home of the Philippine Eagle and has


the Largest Eagle and king of the Philppines, the Durian
Kings of fruits, And the highest mountain in the philippines is
the Mt. Apo, Davao City has the first in the Philippines who
has (911) in the Philippines.

 Region 12 (SOCCSARGEN)

This region is located in the south Central Mindanao. It is composed of 4


provinces namely: South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and
Sarangani as well as 5 cities namely: General Santos, Cotabato,
Koronadal, Tacurong and Kidapawan. And this region has a A pair of
agungs is one of the instruments found in the kulintang ensemble,
and Region XII is home to a fascinating culture that revolves around
kulintang music, a specific type of gong music found among both Muslim
groups (such as the Maguindanao) and non-Muslim groups (such as the
Tiruray).

 Region 13 (CARAGA)

The region comprises five provinces: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur,
Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur; six cities:
Bayugan, Bislig, Butuan, Cabadbaran, Surigao and Tandag. Some of the
region used language is Cebuano and also most or some is Manobos.
This region noted for its wood-based economyand other mineral
resources.

Region 13 was created by virtue of Republic Act No. 7901 which was
enacted on February 23, 1995. The name CARAGA accordingly finds its
root from the word “Calagan” or “Kalagan” which refers to a group of
people believed to be Visayan in origin that occupied the northeastern
part of Mindanao.
They have wonderful tourist destination like the Siargao Island, Guyam
Island,Enchanted River in Hinatuan,Cloud 9 in Siargao Islands and more
destination to explore.
