Welcome to the new AIRBUS A220 SERIES PACK by VirtualCol, simulating the BOMBARDIER-AIRBUS A220 JET 100,
and 300 series, for use with FSX SP2, FSX STEAM EDITION, PREPAR3D V1, V2, V3 and V4. The following information is
intended for simulation purposes only and should not be used during real world flying or for professional use.
VirtualCol products are designed to simulate basic functions, for use in flight simulators for enjoyment purposes only,

MFD (Multi-Function Display)
The MFD (both for separated, CAPTAIN and FO) is managed using the following panel because it allows complete
information or divided in two screens.

MAP IN MFD
The MAP FULL DISPLAY is showed in MFD clicking in button RELOAD . To show terrain, click on button TERR.
Select in TOP MENU for:
MAP MENU – Click to return to MAP and ROUTE flight plan.
PLAN MENU – Click to show Flight plan
DATA MENU – Open/Close Submenu to select data to shows in map: AIRPORTS, VOR, NDB, ILS, INTERSECTIONS.

The MAP option can be showed in middle screen, depending selector display and position. Click on buttons LEFT or
RIGHT and next select MAP or DATA. This last option shows MAP with complementary information.
CNS
This button will open the navigation data. In case of FS, we used GPS default system BUT adapted to screen. All
buttons and options was adapted, just click in the menu bar to access information, changes, procedures, etc.
FPL menu open ACTIVE FLIGHT PLAN information. You can modify it in
FMS easiest using FMS keyboard. However, here you can select
waypoints to get information about everyone. Just click in CRSR
(Cursor) and move UP and DOWN in the list using the respective
triangles in top menu.
You can activate APPROACH here, just click in PROC menu and confirm
using CRSR (Cursor) and menu ENT (ENTER) to confirm.

Menu NRST (Nearest) display a list and windows with all information of NEAREST AIRPORTS, VOR, NDB, WAYPOINTS,
ETC. Just select PREV o NEXT to move in the options and select CRSR (Cursor) if you wish select one and get
information. Move in the list using triangles UP or DOWN and click ENT (ENTER) menu to select it.
If you wish point the navigation system in FMS mode to one DIRECT POINT (DIRECT TO), just select “D” with arrow in
middle in top menu. This menu doesn’t allow to use keyboard, but using TRIANGLES, PREV and NEXT menu options,
you can input the airport ICAO, vor, ndb or waypoint.

SYN
This option will open EFIS display. This screen contains all technical information, engines, flight controls, and system
of the aircraft. The default of this screen is PRIMARY
DISPLAY. Select other options in menu for:
STATUS – It contains general and basic information

about APU, Pressurization and flight controls.
AIR – Contains information about A/C and pressurization

system.
DOOR – It shows all DOORS and status.
ELEC – It contains all ELECTRICAL SYSTEM status.
F/CTL – This option shows the behavior of the flight

controls in real time.
FUEL – This option shows the FUEL SYSTEM function.
HYD – This option shows HYDRAULIC function.
A/ICE – This option contains information about ANTI-ICE

SYSTEM.
INFO – This screen not only shows basic information as FLIGHT NUMBER, MODEL AIRPLANE, DATE, HOUR, NEXT
WAYPOITN, etc. This screen contains too the SIMICONS, normally distributed in external gauges.
Just click in corresponding SIMICON to:
 OPEN ATC WINDOW

 OPEN KNEEBOARD
 OPEN MAP (MAP OF YOUR FS)
 OVERHEAD in 2D PANEL
 STARTER PANEL in 2D MODE
And here you will can open ALL DOORS, main, cargo and
auxiliary.

CHKL
This button will open the CHECKLIST. Just select procedure and click over every line, there will appear a green line to
control where are you while follow the checklist.
When you finish every procedure, click to return to main menu.
IMPORTANT: ABOUT MFD (Including FMS display in pedestal)
Take in account ALL DISPLAYS can be moved for three screens in flight deck. Just click the button in respective
command side and the screen will appear.

FMS
Our FMS is an original gauge created from FS DEFAULT GPS, excepting for MAP. As other displays, this gauge can be
moved and showed in MFD or FMS in CAPTAIN side or FO side, also and obviously in FMS in pedestal area. This gauge
allows manage a FLIGHT PLANNER in two modes:
CREATE YOUR OWN FLIGHT PLAN: For this option it’s necessary you have ready all waypoints and type of WP to
insert. Basically it’s necessary you have at hands your flight information. Difference with other FMS and creating with
FLIGHT PLANNER, this mode only contains DESTINATION, not DEPARTURE INFORMATION because the FMS will take
your current point for default.
Click in top BOX to insert the ICAO of destination airport and using the
KEYBOARD in FMS, input ICAO code followed of key ENTER.
If the ICAO is valid, and

after press ENTER, the
name will be showed in
AIRPORT DESTINATION.
Now, click on option TO>

at right side of ICAO code
to generate the first point
for new flight plan.
NOTE: Also it’s possible use your PC Keyboard but only after first key input, not
before. When you finish to use it and to avoid your PC keyboard being blocked, select FPLN menu and click in DEL key (in FMS
KEYBOARD) until the input BOX will be blank.
Immediately, you will be resending to FLIGHT PLAN screen to insert the first waypoint now. At this moment is very
important you understand, as the old FMS mode using keys in sides to insert or select lines, our FMS uses the lines
same way: YELLOW->select left area, RED->select right area and BLUE->insert information (ICAO, waypoints, etc.)

To insert waypoints, first input any key, the menu of WAYPOINTS TYPE will be appear: VOR, NDB or ISEC, select in
menu and input te waypoint. For this example we input the waypoint OZR, is a ISEC type. When it’s detected click
before of the next point or following the corresponding way. The map will be updated instantly too.

To insert ALTITUDE HOLD in corresponding waypoint, click in right side and input altitude. Click in same position to
activate it in FMS.

To DELETE any waypoint, press DEL key in FMS keyboard and select in left side the waypoint to remove.

CREATE FLIGHT PLAN FROM YOUR FS FLIGHT PLANNER:
This is the easiest way to create a flight plane, just open FLIGHT PLANNER menu in your FSX or P3D and selecting
ORIGIN and DESTINATION, request your FS search the route, save and ready. The flight plane will be showed in FMS
as the images below. If the FPLN has more than 1 page, move to next using keys NEXT and PREV in FMS keyboard to
review.
Note that below the information also appear

other items with the possibility of changing.
These correspond to the activation or
deactivation of the AUTO SPOILER, which
only requires a click to activate or deactivate.
In the case of takeoff speeds (V1, VR, V2) and
DH (Decision height), just one click on each
space, insert the corresponding value and
press ENTER on the FMS keyboard.
Take in account the FMS console is divided in

two screens too. Every side is controled by
every keyboard (Captain side or FO side). You
can use keyboard for input information in
two sides but not for select display: MAP,
FMS, CNS, CHKL, SYN, DATA.

ALTERN AIRPORT OPTION:
It’s possible to generate an ALTERNATIVE AIRPORT procedure but only if the current
flight plan is not going to be fulfilled. The reason is that the flight plan will be
eliminated and a new "DIRECT TO" point will be generated. This will open a new flight
plan, which you can leave only as a direct flight or insert points and even assign an
approach. Use this option ONLY if the current flight plan will not be fulfilled and never
with active flight navigation. Change to HDG while making the changes and until
verifying, return the plan to NAV.
APPROACHING PROCEDURE:
At this point you can select an available approach pattern according to the assigned
runway. First select RUNWAY and subsequently you will be required to also indicate
the type of TRANSITION within the available ones or just modify the transition of the
already selected runway.
However, although the procedure will be registered in the flight plan, you can only be
activated from the CNS mode by selecting the PROC menu, activate the cursor with
CRSR and then press ENT when you agree to activate it.
BASIC PROCEDURES
START ENGINES
The procedure to star engines is very easy, follow the next steps:
-Verify if ELECTRIC SYSTEM has power, if not, start the APU and
APU GENERTOR.
- Turn ENGINE START KNOB to R ENG position (turn right).
- Click on CONT IGNITION SWITCH.
- When the N2 reach to 20%, click on

switch R ENG to enrich mixture and
start engine.

-When engine 2 is running and start was successful, a green light will light up, if
not, the engine is still stopped.
-Follow same procedure with engine left, turning to left the knob Engine start and
click on switch CONT IGNITION.
-When both engines are running, review turn to off ENGINE START knob to avoid
overcharge in system.

AMBIENT PRECIPITATIONS – RAIN -

This model has available option and effect of RAIN and SNOW in WINDSHIELD and lateral cockpit windows. This
effect will reduce visibility, to clean just activate WIPERS:

To activate the wipers, select in overhead. In virtual booth click with left mouse button to increase speed or with
right button to reduce or stop.

A/ICE – This option contains information about ANTI-ICE

Just click in corresponding SIMICON to:

 OPEN ATC WINDOW

When you finish every procedure, click to return to main menu.
