 กาลครังหนึงนานมาแล้ว เจนผูช ้ อบทําอาหาร
มีความคิดทีจะเปดร้านอาหารเปนของตัวเอง
เลยได้โทรไปบอกกับนุ่น เพือนสนิทของเจน
นุ่นจึงอวยพรเจนว่าขอให้รา้ นอาหารของเจน
ขายดีประสบความสําเร็จ นุ่นมีความเมตตา
ตามหลักพรหมวิหาร๔ นุ่นมีความปรารถนาดี
อยากให้เพือนสนิทได้ดี

Once upon a time, Jane decided to open a restaurant because she has good cooking skills
and she loves cooking. So, she calls her friend “Noon” to inform her about the news. Noon
wishes Jane good luck and to be successful in doing her job. This shows that Noon has one of
the four sublime states of mind which is loving-kindness. 1

Jane gets ready by arranging tables and chairs to prepare for the opening day.

Jane opened a restaurant for one week but there weren’t any customers yet.

Jane is now worried that she will have to close her restaurant because
there are no customers.

Jane decided to call Noon because she has some knowledge about marketing.

Noon feels bad for her, so she agrees to help advise her and make the
restaurant stay open. This time Noon show her compassion to help Jane.

เพราะเห็นว่าการตกแต่งแบบ
เดิมยังไม่ค่อยดีมากพอ

Noon redecorate the restaurant because the old look is not attractive enough.

อร่อยอยูแ ่ ล้ว จึงทําให้เจนทําอร่อยมากขึน
เพือให้เมือลูกค้าได้ทานแล้วติดใจในรสชาติ
อาหารของเจน และกลับมารับประทานใหม่
อีกครัง

Noon helps Jane with the tasting test. Jane's recipe is good but Noon helps
to make it taste even better to make the guests fall in love with it and visit
the restaurant again.

Noon realized that people are using social media a lot, so she thought it
would be a great idea to advertise there.

After a help of Noon, the restaurant now has more guests.

Jane now needs more workers because her restaurant has many people
coming in and she can’t handle them all.

Jane announced for a job in her restaurant.

Bow wants to make some extra money and sees the announcement,
so she applies for the job in the restaurant.

บริการลูกค้าได้อย่างดี

On Bow’s first day she did a good job servicing customers in the restaurant.

สมกับลูกค้า

Unfortunately one day, Bow didn’t respect the customer and showed some
bad manners.

 เจนตกใจมากจึงรีบเดินเข้าไป
ขอโทษลูกค้า และตักเตือนโบว์ ว่า
หากมีครังต่อไปจะต้องไล่โบว์ออก

ถามีครัง้ ตอไป
ขอโทษคะ
เราคงตอง
ไลเธอออก

Jane was not happy that Bow did that. She quickly apologizes to her
customer and tells Bow if this happens again she will lose her job.

เวลาผ่านไป 2 สัปดาห์ ทุกอย่างดูเหมือน
จะเรียบร้อยดี แต่ก็เกิดเหตุการณ์ทีไม่
คาดฝนขึนอีกครัง โบได้แสดงกิรย ิ า
มารยาททีไม่เหมาะสมกับลูกค้าอีกครัง
โบว!!

After that two weeks, everything looked fine but eventually Bow
showed her bad manner to the customer again.

 เจนรีบเดินเข้าไปขอโทษลูกค้า และไล่โบว์
ออก ตามทีตักเตือนไว้ครังทีแล้ว เจนมี
ความอุ เบกขาตามหลักพรหมวิหาร๔ เจน
ได้ตักเตือนและให้โอกาสโบว์แล้ว แต่โบว์ก็
ยังทําซํา จึงไม่สามารถช่วยอะไรได้ เจนได้
ทําเพียงวางใจเปนกลาง

แตตามกฎเราคง
ขอบคุณที่ชวย
ตองไลเธอออก
งานเรา
จริงๆแลว

Jane apologized to her customer and fired Bow just like she said when she talked
to her last time. Jane showed that she has equanimity based on the four sublime
states of mind. Jane already gave Bow a chance to fix herself but Bow didn’t take
that chance, so Jane can’t do anything but to be fair to what she said.

และมีความสุขอีกครัง

Jane’s restaurant became peaceful again.

ขายดีทีสุดบนถนนเส้นนัน

Jane’s restaurant now become the most popular restaurant in that area.

แสดงความยินดีกับเจน นุน ่ มีความ
มุทิตาหลักพรหมวิหาร๔ นุน ่ ยินดีเมือ
เห็นเพือนได้ดี

When Noon heard that Jane was very successful with her restaurant, she quickly
called her and said congratulations. This shows that Noon has sympathetic joy
because she was happy when she saw her friend successful.
