Subject: Institute Electives choice for B Tech Semester VII (EE,IC,CE,IT) to be offered during
Odd Term 2020-21.

Students of above classes are hereby informed that as per the teaching scheme of B Tech programme,
each student has to select one Institute Elective for Odd Term 2020-21.

The institute electives are meant to provide exposure to management / humanities and/or interdisciplinary
courses of their interest. The tentative list of courses to be offered is enclosed herewith. Students are
informed to give their options in the format given below between 29-05-2020 to 05-06-2020 to the
concerned department. All students of above programmes are required to give preferences 1 to 10 (10
choices) in order.

A computerized online system has been developed to get the course preference. Additionally syllabus of
courses, link for choice filling etc.. will be communicated by central coordinator.

Allotment of the course will be finalized on the basis of the following. :

1. Merit of PPI and SPI of the previous semester
2. Maximum strength in a course will be limited to 75.
3. Minimum strength in a course will be 30.
4. Student is not permitted to give preference for the courses offered by the respective branch and
other courses as mentioned in the list of Institute Electives.
