Issues Underlying Behavior Problems in at-rist Adopted Children

In 2000, a study written by Smith, Howard, and Monroe discusses the

different problems that an adopted person is experiencing. It is stated in this

article that those who are non adopted are not showing any signs of negative

behaviors, while on the other hand, those who have the tendency to show

poor behaviors are those people who turns out to be adopted. They have

seen several cases wherein behavioral disorders and other negative effects

and emotions such as lack of socialization skills, fear, low self-esteem and

anxiousness, appeared on children who are adopted. These children will most

likely to experience difficulty in adjusting into their life in a new environment

that they will be exposed into since might have suffered from bullying or even

face their own negative judgement towards themselves. This will likely make

them think of being different from other children they interact with.

Synthesis

This article is about those people who who are adopted, in relation to this

research, and showed the effects of being on this state in a person’s life. Also,

it gives the researchers the idea of what is it like to experience this kind of

situation and the changes and other issues that it can give to a person,

especially to a child.
