THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

This chapter contains the following: background of

the study, statement of the problem, hypothesis, conceptual

framework, Significance of the study, Scope and delimitation

and definition of terms.

I. Background of the Study

Bullying is one of the major problems among students in

school. It can lead to a traumatic events of a person life.

It also affects how do you interact in ones more or how you

should deal in the society. It is considered verbally,

physically and emotionally. This study is going to determine

bullies to victim and bullying comprises abuse of power as

Bullying is a
Moreover the

consistent historical feature of

schooling across the world,
regardless of the
liberal or conservative nature
or economic prosperity of the
education system (Volk, et al.,
2012).
It peaks during adolescence
and has serious consequences
for those involved (Arseneault,
Bowes and Shakoor, 2010).
Recognised health problems
(for those bullying and being
bullied)
now include poor mental
health, violent behaviour, self-
harm, anxiety, depression and
social
exclusion (Juvonen, Graham
and Schuster, 2006). In a

year olds,
Due et al (2005) found that
bullying was consistently
associated to 4 physical
symptoms
(headache, stomach ache,
backache, dizziness) and 8
psychological symptoms (bad
temper,
feeling nervous, feeling low,
difficulties in getting to sleep,
morning tiredness, feeling left
out,
loneliness, helplessness). The
