Project Name - Cisco Diameter Routing Agent
Aricent

Cisco DRA, is a functional element in a 3G or 4G (such as LTE) network that provides

real-time routing capabilities to ensure that messages are routed among the correct
elements in a network.
Description
Cisco DRA is defined for session binding in IP-CAN sessions (equivalent to PDP
context in 3G) towards a PCRF server. This is designed for multiple Diameter sessions
in VoLTE in order to control the LTE and the IMS parts of the VoLTE service.
DRA main function is to support the following features;
• DRA as server and supports multiple PCRF peers.
• DRA as client and makes outbound connections to PCRF peers when acting as
OCS.
• Routing [ Generic to handle all diameter protocols ]
• Session Binding [Gx/Rx]
• Rate Control
• Load Balancing
• Redundant Setup with multiple DRAs connected in mated pair configuration.
• Centralized binding database across regions.
Diameter Protocols: Gx, Rx, Sy, Gx, Gy, Sd . However, C-DRA is generic to handle any
diameter protocol.
Demonstrate efficient routing configuration allowing all DRAs to route to all Peers
including those that are not adjacent (e.g. DRA1a/b to SGSN.
Highly scalable and supports 100K TPS for node.
Supports 50 million active sessions with Mongo supported sharding.
Supports micro services with Dockers platform.
A VNF blends a VM based installation and orchestration layer with an internally
controlled micro-service scheduling to enable the following:
Stateless and Stateful VNF
CPS supports deployment of stateless VNF(s) alongside stateful VNFs which store
persisted customer data.
Encapsulate VNF Service Scheduling
CPS virtual machines should encapsulate and self-schedule the application services
within the provided Virtual Machines.
Knowledge of the internal services should not leak into the calling VNFM.
Addition of new resources should automatically be scheduled with new services.
Support Automated Configuration
API(s) should expose the configuration of the system via NETCONF/ RESTCONF or
other industry standard protocol (REST / SOAP etc).

• Simplified environment installation
• one image to boot for all VM types – only difference is cloud
config, cinder volumes, networking
• Faster spin up times by a factor of 10
• tools like puppet are not used to build VMs at runtime
• Decoupling VMs from services
• dedicated VMs can be added for high use services
• SP specific micro services
• micro services isolated from the main application
• Automatically use new VMs
• VMs can be added to the cluster and the cluster will schedule
the correct services based on the VM type sent into the cloud
config
• Predictable and coordinated upgrade and rollback
• Version all micro-services to support predictable and
coordinated upgrade and rollback workflows across
multiple virtual machines

Role: Sr Dev Manager & Tech Manager.

Project Name - Cisco Policy Suite [ PCRF]
Aricent

Cisco Policy Suite provides an intelligent control-plane solution. It includes

southbound interfaces to various policy control enforcement functions (PCEFs) in the
network, and northbound interfaces to OSS/BSS and subscriber applications, IMSs,
Description
and web applications. Policy Suite modules are implemented individually or deployed
as an integrated end-to-end policy, charging, and service-creation solution.
Policy Suite can also dynamically scale your policy solution to adapt to real-world
needs, helping to reduce capital expenditures (CapEx) and operating expenses (OpEx).
With a Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) model, Policy Suite instances can be
deployed much more quickly, with far fewer changes, than traditional policy
hardware architectures. At the same time, you can rapidly scale your system up or
down in line with the traffic patterns and service growth.
Cisco Policy Suite’s newest capabilities with dynamic orchestration for policy and
access selection will directly support the increased video demands on the mobile
network.  In dynamic orchestration, the NFV environment of Cisco Policy supports
flexible, cost-effective, carrier-grade strategies.
VoLTE brings multiple benefits for service providers (spectrum efficiency, high
quality voice, OPEX & CAPEX reduction, etc).

Role: Sr Dev Manager & Tech Manager.

Technologies: Java, Redis for message queuing; mongo for database. RESI/JSon Micro
services/Dockers.

Responsibilities:
