How to get a new Salesforce-enabled GS0 org

Step 1 - If you already have a Developer Edition org on GS0 (pre-release environment), it will
automatically get upgraded to Winter '16 on August 17th. If you do not have an existing GS0 org and
need a new one. please signup here (disregard the Summer '15 logo - the page will reflect Winter '16
after August 17th). We will post an update on the Lightning Ready Certification for ISVs Chatter
Group when the pre-release environment is upgraded to Winter '16 and you can begin testing your app.

Step 2 - Once you have a GS0 environment, submit a case in the Partner Community to have the new
Salesforce experience enabled (case type - AppExchange & Feature Requests > Feature/License
Request in Trial/DE Org with subject "Lightning Ready - Enable new Salesforce"). In addition to
getting new Salesforce enabled, you will also get pilot access to the Salesforce Lightning Design System.

Step 3 - Now that your GS0 org is enabled, please follow these instructions to enable and access the new
Salesforce in your org.

Step 4 - Join the Lightning Ready Certification for ISVs Chatter Group.

How to Submit Your App to be Lightning Ready

There are two fundamental areas to focus on in order to be Lightning Ready:

 Make sure your app is fully functional when the new Salesforce is enabled
 Update and enhance any custom UI styles to conform to the new Salesforce Lightning Design
System styles

1. In order to test and verify that your app is fully functional, install your existing managed package(s) into
your GS0 pre-release org where you have enabled the new Salesforce. Complete full end-user testing to
ensure your app is fully functional.
2. If your app requires enhanced styling to conform to the new Salesforce Design System, you have two
choices:
 Update existing managed package in your packaging org with the new Salesforce Design System
styles
 Deploy unmanaged code to a partner pre-release org (i.e. GS0) org and make updates to the
unmanaged code

3. If you chose the 2nd option above, ensure your updated changes are in their managed package and
available to customers no later than October 31, 2015.
4. When you are ready to submit your app for “Lightning Ready” review, please document the credentials
to the pre-release org and provide a detailed click path with screenshots and/or a video recording.
See this deck for the full submission guidelines.
5. When your application is approved, ensure your managed package and AppExchange listing are
updated by October 31, 2015.
6. Approved partner packages will be given the “Lightning Ready” banner on your AppExchange Listing
before Dreamforce 2015.
