COVID 19 is the infectious sickness as a result of the most these days found corona virus.
This novel disease and virus be unfamiliar earlier than the eruptions begin in Wuhan, China
in December 2019. Corona virus is now a pandemic disturbing numerous countries
worldwide whereby Fiji is also affected by corona virus. People can catch corona virus from
others who have the virus. The virus spreads mainly from human to human through tiny
droplet from mouth plus nose, which be excluded once a individual with corona virus coughs,
sneezes or speaks. This droplet is rather serious, perform not to move extreme plus fast go
down to the argument. Community can have corona virus condition if they take in air during
this droplet from individual who is with the disease. The total number of confirmed cases for
corona virus worldwide is 6.29m and total number of deaths is 380k and for Fiji, total
confirmed cases were 18 and 15 people is recovered from corona virus and 3 people are in
stable condition. The geographical location of my community is Raviravi, Ba (Fiji). This
essay shall discuss the socio economic impact of these pandemic on your family, relatives,
neighbours and the entire community and list three sectors of the economy and describes how
they have been affected by the spread of this pandemic in Fiji and also provide three solutions
to the problem.

The socio-economic impact of this pandemic on family, relatives, neighbours and the entire
community is from social distancing where individuals should stay away from each other by
two metres. Also through social gathering people are not able to meet together at one place
for events. People in the entire community are unemployed because of this pandemic and
curfew orders affects people by not allowing to go anywhere after 10pm. Lockdown has also
affected the community, family and relative, neighbours as that not able to attend and meet
them because Lautoka was lockdown from March 20th to April 7th 2020 and Suva was
lockdown from April 3rd to April 17th 2020.

Moreover, there are many sectors affected by the spread of this pandemic in Fiji. Firstly,
tourism sector has been affected by travel limits as well as fall in order between travellers.
The tourism sector has very much affected by the spread of corona virus, as many countries
have introduce travel limits in an effort to hold its extend. The United Nations world tourism
organisation expected to facilitate worldwide global travellers arrival may reduce with 20 to
30% in 2020. As a end result of virus, Fiji have imposed quarantines, entry ban or other limits
used for the mainly affected area. Secondly, food sector in several places there be terror
buying with resultant shortage. At hand be a few bring sequence disruption for a few goods.
For example, numerous hand pump used for hand sanitizer bottles be import into united state
as of china plus were in short supply. In favour of food products in Fiji usual resupply
happen, but terror buying because vacant shelves contribute to consumer’s desire to store up.
Thirdly, education sector the corona virus has affected learning system not only in Fiji but
international, primary to the near total closure of schools, universities and colleges. Fiji has
closed learning institution in an attempt to hold the spread of corona virus. Schools closure
force not only students, teachers and families but contain distant reaching trade and industry
plus community cost. The force was extra severe for deprived family plus their children
causing episodic knowledge, compromise food, childcare troubles plus resultant financial
outlay to family who might not work.

However, there are workable solutions to the problems mentioned above. Firstly, tourism
sector can prevent the issue of corona virus via ensuring through world health organisation to
health dealings be implement into ways to facilitate reduce preventable force on global move
plus deal as well by standing in unity among affected countries. Secondly, government must
work as one to avoid disruption to food supply chain in variety of assistance. Thirdly, the
universities and schools should offer online classes so that students are not left behind with
their schoolwork and allow university students to access module for free because some
parents are unemployed and some are low income earners who cannot afford to buy recharge.

Therefore, corona virus can be prevented if we stay two metres away from each other, stay
home and follow all the given instructions. There are also many sectors in Fiji which is badly
affected by the spread of this pandemic into our country. These pandemic also affected
family, relative neighbour and entire community.
