Paragraph Writing Assignment

This week we are learning about the Cause/Effect and Problem/Solution text structures.
We have practiced reading texts that use these structures, and now you will have a
chance to practice writing paragraphs related to those structures.

Assignment:​ ​Read the two articles about Threatened Species in ReadWorks: Worldwide
Loss of Bees a Growing Concern and The American Chestnut. For each article, write a
paragraph that identifies what is causing the problem, what the effects are, and what the
possible solutions could be. Then write a paragraph that compares the fates of bees and
chestnuts. How are their struggles similar? How are they different? T
​ hese 3 paragraphs
should be written with your best grammar and include at least 5 sentences. Email the
