4. Check the place for installation
Please place the printer at a place which meets the following conditions.
Stable and in horizontal plane (difference in level on the plane must be kept within 1mm).
The space to place the printer must be larger than the printer bottom area and all four
feet must securely touch the surface of the place.
Well-ventilated area, however, air must not blow directly into the printer from the front
side of the printer (print exit).
The area where temperature can be kept between 15 and 35 degrees C and RH can be
kept within 20 and 80 %.
Sufficient space to work around the printer is secured.
Space at front to load ribbon and paper, space at rear and side for air ventilation and
cable handling is secured.

see how many prints have been made since the last exchange of the paper
cutter.

* HQ mode configuration
Printer is set to “HQ mode” temporarily. All prints are printed by “HQ mode”
until exiting from the “HQ mode” by manual or turning off and on the printer again.
<How data may be restored if data are lost such as by exchanging MAN PCB>
● If setting data had been saved on PC by ”Read & Save”, you will be able to
restore the setting data to the printer by “Load MC data”.
● If setting data are not saved on PC, data may be entered manually according
to the method described for “MC” from the data you will find on the Test Print
(page 3) which is included in the package of the printer.
Step 1: Enter data name at the space provided under “MC”.
Example: HDVLT
By entering the data name, current setting will be displayed.
Step 2: By allow keys, match the number to the data value of the Test Print.
Step 3: Click [Set] to register the data.
Step 4: Register serial number at the PCB (enter serial number at the space
under “Serial No. ” and click [SET] located right next to it).
Step 5: When printer ID needs to be registered, enter printer ID (default is “0”).
Step 6: When all are done, click [Finish] to go back to Start Screen.

22. Maintenance and regular
replacement parts
Lists below are regular maintenance parts for users or field service technicians to maintain the
quality of the printer.
・Please conduct periodical inspections of each parts and replace parts if needed.
Replacement cycles and number of prints below are calculated by standard print of K size,
152mm x 102. So these replacement cycles and prints are just a guide that it is influenced by
the condition such as print size, the print image and etc.
・Number of prints and replacement cycles below does not mean warranty period.
