On the eve of his execution, "Mi Ultimo Adios" was Rizal's final message to the Filipino people, encouraging them to continue serving and loving their country. NOLI ME TANGERE and EL FILIBUSTERISMO

Noli Me Tangere aims that to every Filipino to be awaken our feelings to our
countrymen. To open our eyes for the happenings in our country like the cruelty of
the Spaniards to our fellow Filipino. How The Filipino suffer under the Spaniards. it
also shows or tell that during the Spaniards era, Filipino don’t have the unity to fight
against the Spaniards. Noli Me Tangere also tells us the classical types of country we
have during that era. it let us think how far the country that time to our country
right now. how simple yet resourceful the country that time compared today’s
country.

El Filibusterismo was written in dedication to the three martyred priest,

mariano gomez, jose burgos, and jacinto Zamora whose death left an indeble mark
in our mind. Like Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo also aimed to enlightening the
society and bringing the Filipino closer to the truth which is the happenings during
the spa iards era and how the Filipino suffered in the hand of the Spaniards. El
Filibusterismo also aims for the Filipino to also open their eyes to the reality and
rebel against the Spaniard government for its abuse.

Rizal wants the Filipino to be united for the freedom against the Spaniards.
Rizal’s only wants is all for the best for the country. He doesn’t want the Filipino
suffered in the hand of the Spaniards so he do anything that he can do in order to
save our country and especially the Filipino even if it will suffered his own lives.

This two novel (NOLI ME TANGERE and EL FILIBUSTERISMO) reflects the

true personality of Rizal. How Rizal was despirate to enlighten up the mind of the
Filipinos from the abusive Spaniards. How Rizal suffer in order for the Filipino to set
free from the Spaniards. so this two novel simple describe how rizal love his
country and do anything that he can to save the Filipino and the country. it all
happens because of the way how Rizal’s family influence his life to e a good person
and to love his country. to teach the persons not only on how to read but also on
how to protect or defend themselves against the abusive country. he has the courage
to fight the Spaniards to save us even if it brought him into danger and suffer his
own life. realization in life is that even how high your standard in life, you should not
still forget your country and even all the people who help you to go in that stage.
never forget that you also came from in that stage. you also suffer to achieve
everything you want to achieve. So as a good person, be the one who will be
inspiration of the person who also want to be in your stage. Just like Rizal, even if he
already achieved different kinds of professions, never stop helping the Filipino. He
uses all his knowledge to also teach the Filipino and enlighten them to also do
everything that can help them to be a successful person.

In the noli, there is aspiration, beauty, romance and mercy. While in FILI,
there are bitterness, hatred and antipathy. So in EL FILIBUSTERISMO the romance
and aspirations are gone. In NOLI ME TANGERE, it shows love, just like how Ibarra
love his woman. So for me that love symbolizes Rizal’s love to his country. When it
comes to aspiration, it preventing the realization of Rizal’s aspiration for the
Filipinos to regain their human rights, especially human dignity, justice and
freedom. Beauty represent, the beauty of the heart of a filipino people, that they
were willing to sacrifices even their own lives just to save their loveones and
especially their own country.

And mercy, Rizal wrote this novel in order for the Spaniards to think that
their doings are not good anymore for the Filipino people who are innocent and
abused by their cruelty.

So for me, the NOLI ME TANGERE represent the beauty of the country while
the EL FILIBUSTERISMO represent the cruelty experienced by the Filipino in the
hand of the Spaniards. Rizal wants us to realize as a Filipino all the happenings in
our country. As I’ve said the NOLI ME TANGERE symbolized the beauty not just our
country but also the beauty of the Filipino as well, not only in physical appearance
but also of having a heartedly beauty when it comes to others. And the novel
represents the cruelty experienced by the Filipino in the hand of the Spaniard. All
the suffering that Filipino encountered during that era.
As I’ve read the two novels (NOLI ME TANGERE and EL FILIBUSTERISMO) I
just realized how lucky we are to have a person like Rizal in our country. may be
without Rizal in our country, we are still suffering cruelty in the hand of the
Spaniards until now. maybe Filipinos are still not united and maybe are still
suffering in the cruelty of the Spaniards. So through Rizal it leads us to become one
nation with one intention and that is to be free from Spaniards. through this novel,
even if we are not in that stage, through this we still find out the happenings during
that time and to know how brave our fellow Filipino to overcome this kind of
situations.
MI ULTIMO ADIOS

Mi Ultimo Adios “The Last Farewell” is a novel written by Jose Rizal. This
poem has a good structure when it comes to rhythm, rhymes, and stanza. I was amazed
how talented Rizal is when it comes to writing. The last farewell did I read is the English
version translated by Charles E. Derbyshire.

For the rhymes, according to my observation while reading this, it has no rhymes in
every lines of the poem. The other lines end in exclamation point which you will sense how
very important this poem to know. Maybe the translator writer of this version translated
the poem without rhymes just because for the sake of the reader especially the Filipinos.

For stanza, the poem has 14 stanzas. Every stanza contains of five lines to be read
and comprehend. I like the structure of every stanza because even you read the first stanza,
you can already understand what Rizal wanted to message us before his life end and to
remind that about his last farewell and it is his journey in life.

For the rhythm, there is an expression appear when you are reading. While you are
reading, you will feel how emotional you are. The words used were so much hard to
understand but if you read the lines if the poem you can get the meaning behind it.

MI ULTIMO ADIOS (My Last Farewell) .This is a poem wherein on the eve of his
execution by firing squad on 30 December 1896. Rizal was giving his last message to his
countrymen for him, offering his life was the best way he could show his love for the
country. The piece was one of the last notes he wrote before his death, another that he had
written was found in his shoes but because the text was illegible, is contents today remain a
mystery. Even he was going to die, he was not resentful instead he challenged the each of
the Filipinos to serve and love our country. However he was also hopeful that his death
would serve as inspiration to everyone. H encouraged the youth to continue to dream and
fulfill it.
The realization that even how high your dream is, for so many thing that you’ve
done to others, after all the sorrows and happiness you’ve made, how strong you are, how
strength your leadership ability and how good you are but STILL!. There are always people
who will ruin your life to death and anytime you will become nothing. But despites of these
situations, always put GOD in the center of your life and belief in yourself that you can
make change from your environment and for that, all will survive. To judge this poem, I can
say that Rizal’s journey in life was very competitive, so many ups and downs that he
already experienced. In this poem, he expressed his feelings, his mission, and dreams for
the country. For his last farewell, every people want him to open the realization of life.

Just like in current situation, there is always a Spaniard in the government officials
who will tolerate others to make bad in the government. The corruption is one whom they
are doing and even life of other people will they set just for their powers and properties to
become rich and rich and rich.

That’s why as a young member of the society in this generation, I do not want to be a
bad influence person otherwise I will do my best to be a role model in good deeds in such a
way that I will inspire people and gives learning to every child through teaching because I
am a future teacher and a model for tomorrow. Jose Rizal hid the paper containing the
poem in an alcohol stove which was later given to his sister Narcisa. Another possible poem
was written in a piece of paper hidden in Rizal’s shoes but the text became unreadable so
its content remains a mystery.

Rizal was giving his last message to his countrymen for him, offering his life was the
best way he could show his love for the country. Through this poem we can know realized
and open our mind that Rizal’s sacrifices cannot measure by anyone. He reminds us that
offering of life is not like you are offering feelings to others that there I always in return but
rather is the only best ꞌhe could ho his love for the country.

The important events mentioned in this poem were, on the eve of his execution by
firing squad on 30 December 1896.

If we are going to relate important events mentioned into current situation. It is not
impossible to happen nowadays in our country. The darkness of the moon in the
environment and the sunshine of the sun to the life of everyone. The battle of against and
pro and being as one of the two persons with the sum perceptions. . The grass that gives
color to the ups and downs of life and the flowers that will gives you a sign for there is still
chances to change. Scaffold for your protection and combat for you to fight. Stone for you to
become strong and floor for your stepping stone.

Care to give concern and faith to believe that no matter what happens you will
always be strong. Pain to suffer and cried for you to boost your emotion. Lost that you need
to find and best that you need to show in order to attain the missing or failure. Mother for
your love and keen for your inspiration. Country for your hometown and God for your
provider and guidance. Life to be cherish and dreams to be achieve. Wind that will give you
hope and bird that will give you sign of peace and wisdom. Before that will reminds you
and last that will give you lesson and momentum of your experiences and lastly I for the
change and all for the benefits. These are words coming from the poem that I give emphasis
because I like the meaning of it and these is what I understand to this poem.
TO THE YOUNG WOMEN OF MALOLOS

Jose Rizal legacy to Filipino women is embodied in his famous essay entitled, to the
young women of Malolos, where he addressed all kinds of women- mother, wives, the
unmarried, etc. and expresses everything that he wishes them to keep in mind. To the
women of Malolos centers around five salient points and these are, Filipino mothers should
teach their children love of God, country and fellowmen.

Filipino mothers should be glad and honored, like Spartan mothers, to offer their
sons in defense of their country. Filipino women should know how to protect their dignity
and honor. Filipino women should educate themselves aside from retaining their good
racial values. Faith is not merely reciting prayers and wearing religious pictures. It is living
the real Christian way with good morals and manners. In recent time, it seems that these
qualities are gradually lost in the way Filipino women conduct themselves.

There are oftentimes moments where mother forget their roles in rearing their
children because of the overriding idea of having to earn for the family to supplement their
husbands income. Although there is nothing negative about working hard for the welfare of
the family, there must always be balance in the way people go through life. Failure in the
home cannot be compensated for by any amount of wealth or frame.

Rizal’s message to the Filipino women. Jose Rizal was greatly impressed by the
fighting spirit that the young women of Malolos had shown. In his letter, he expresses great
joy and satisfaction over the battle they had fought. In this portion of Rizal’s letter, it is
obvious that his ultimate desire was for women to be offered the same opportunities as
those received by men in terms of education.
During those days young girls were not sent to school because of the universal
notion that they would soon only be taken as wives and stay at home with the children.
Rizal, however, emphasizes on freedom of thought and the right to education, which must
be granted to both boys and girls alike.

The important points taken by Rizal is that the rejection of the spiritual authority of
the friars. Not all the priests in the country that the time embodied the true spirit of Christ
and His Church. Most of them were corrupted by worldly desires and used worldly
methods to effect change and force discipline among the people.

Second, the defense of private judgment. Third, qualities Filipino mothers need to
possess- as evidenced by this portion of his letter, Rizal is greatly concerned of the welfare
of the Filipino children and the homes they grow up in. Fourth, duties and responsibilities
of Filipino mothers to their children. Fifth, duties and responsibilities of a wife to her
husband-Filipino women are known to be submissive, tender, loving. Rizal states in this
portion of his letter how Filipino.

Historians tell us that Narcisa, sister of Pepe (Jose Rizal) received from his minutes
before his martyrdom, a lamaparilla (kerosene lamp) empty of the liquid where the written
poem in a folded piece of paper was hidden inside the lamp

Looking deeper into the poem it may be interesting to note that the rise and fall,
cadence if you will, of the poetic lines from beginning to end, rendered in the exquisite
lengua hispañ ola, simply delights the attentive ear.

Fighting for our country is like fighting for your rights to do something for the sake
of everyone and is like fighting for what we love. Faithfulness of Jose Rizal catch the
attention of mine, whatever the people did to him, he never forget God, God that give him a
talent , and blessings that will share to others. He is so intelligent that in every struggles
that he encounters, he always think that, this is just God’s plan for him.

Rizal until the end, think of the oppressed Filipino, Rizal chose them instead for his
own sake, but because of being patriotic, he always think for others sake. He sacrifice
everything even his life. This is a Filipino, we will do anything, everything for what it takes.
We should treasure every moment of our life and all the people who love us and the people
we love. Advice to unmarried men and women.

Jose Rizal points out to unmarried women that they should not be easily taken by
appearances and looks, because these can be very deceiving. Instead, they should take heed
of men’s firmness of character and lofty ideas. Rizal further adds that there are three things
that a young woman must look for a man she intends to be her husband: a noble and
honored name. A manly heart. A high spirit incapable of being satisfied with engendering
slaves.

Like us, Christians, we never forget that God designs our life different from others
and we need to remember that God has a plan for ours.
