GUIDELINES FOR STRANDED MEMBERS OF MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME


(MM2H) TO REENTER MALAYSIA DURING RECOVERY MOVEMENT CONTROL
ORDER (RMCO)

These guidelines are intended to provide guidance for all members of the MM2H who
are stranded abroad during the Movement Control Order to reenter Malaysia.

These guidelines have taken into account the latest instructions and all standard
operating procedures and protocols observed from the Immigration Department of
Malaysia and National Security Council as well as the requirements to reenter
Malaysia against the backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic.

Beginning 15th June 2020, all stranded members of MM2H will have the following
procedures to comply:-

a. Register with Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (via MM2H Centre)
(i) Kindly provide your particulars such as name, nationality, passport
number, MM2H reference number, country stranded at, and contact
number as well as email address at the following link:

(ii) Upon doing so, your names will be registered under the Ministry of
Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia (MOTAC) and MOTAC will
acknowledged via email that your registration is successful.

b. Obtain Entry Permission from Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (via
MM2H Centre)
(i) Beginning on 15th June 2020, MOTAC will issue entry permission for
the MM2H participant. Therefore, you are no longer required to
obtain approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
(ii) Upon verification by MOTAC, you will receive an approval via email to
reenter Malaysia. Please ensure that you secure the approval first
before making any flight booking to Malaysia. You must also print the
approval email and show it to the Immigration Officer at the entry point.

c. Undergo COVID-19 Swab Test
(i) You must undergo PCR COVID-19 Test Swab test abroad within 3 days
and must be medically confirmed to be tested negative for COVID-
19 prior to entering Malaysia. Please provide the result of the test to
the authority at the entry point.
(ii) Upon arrival, you are to undergo the PCR COVID-19 Swab Test if
instructed by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

d. Download “MySejahtera” mobile application


It is compulsory for you to download and install the “MySejahtera” mobile
application. The “MySejahtera” application enables the Ministry of Health to
monitor users’ health conditions, and for them to be able to take immediate
actions in providing the treatments required.

e. 14 days Home Quarantine


You must undergo fourteen (14) days home quarantine.

f. All the terms will be subject to latest Immigration procedures imposed at entry
point which will be updated as see fit.

g. This guideline is effective as of 15th June 2020.
