GUIDELINES

PERIODICAL COMMUTING ARRANGEMENT (PCA) FOR CROSS BORDER


MOVEMENT BETWEEN MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE

TRAVELLING FROM SINGAPORE TO MALAYSIA


PREREQUISITES Citizens and permanent residents of Singapore who hold Long Term Social
INFO Visit Pass (LTSVP) for business or work purposes in Malaysia.

Singapore citizens and PRs who want to re-enter Malaysia for work.

 After entering Malaysia, the employee should work at least three (3)
consecutive months in Malaysia before returning to Singapore for short
term home leave and subsequently re-entering Malaysia again.
 Travellers will bear the cost of COVID-19 test.
 Travellers must install, register and activate MySejahtera mobile
application before departure.
 For travel via land border crossings between Malaysia and Singapore
only.

APPLICATION MyTravelPass:
PROSES The employer shall apply for MyTravelPass (MTP) for the employee to enter/
re-enter Malaysia.

The employer shall apply on behalf of the employee, via MyTravelPass online
(http://www.mtp.imi.gov.my/) application at least 10-working day before the
date of departure from Singapore to Malaysia or returning to Malaysia (to
resume work) after a short-home leave.

The employer needs to provide the following documents:

 Copy of valid Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP)


 Letter of appointment; and
 Copy of passport

MTP (approval) will be issued (via e-mail) 24 hours before departure date.

Arrival in Malaysia
 Travellers must check-in MySejahtera mobile application upon arrival at
respective point of entry.

 Traveller to present passport and MTP Approval during immigration


clearance at point of entry.

 Travellers will be subjected to health screening at the Point of Entry.

 Travellers will be subjected to a modified 7-day Home Surveillance Order


(HSO).

 Travellers will undertake COVID-19 RTK-Antibody test and will be


released from HSO on Day-7, if tested negative
 All travellers are subjected to effective immigration procedures,
rules and regulations during immigration clearance at point of entry.

RETURNING TO Returning to Malaysia

1. APPLICATION FOR PERIODIC COMMUTING ARRANGEMENT (PCA) BY CITIZENS AND


PERMANENT RESIDENTS OF MALAYSIA

 Citizens and permanent residents of Malaysia who hold a long-term visas for business or
work purposes in Singapore who wish to apply for Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA),
please refer to Singapore’s SafeTravel website at https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg

2. REQUIREMENTS FOR MALAYSIAN WORKERS RETURNING FOR SHORT-TERM HOME


LEAVE IN MALAYSIA

 To obtain PCA Pass from Singapore Authority as a proof during immigration clearance at
Malaysian Point of Entry.
 Travellers must install, register and activate MySejahtera mobile application before
departure.
 Travellers to undertake COVID-19 PCR test within 24 hours post-arrival in Malaysia, at own
cost.
 While waiting for the COVID-19 PCR test result, traveler is required to self-isolate and
adhere to the health guidelines set by Ministry of Health Malaysia.
 If tested negative, travelers are required to visit the nearest government health facility to be
exempted from the 14-day Home Surveillance Order (HSO).
