AUDIENCE: university students
PURPOSE: Describing ways to improve productivity at college.
PROMPT: The UPB’s welfare department is conducting a survey about how to improve students’
productivity.
For this reason, they are asking students the following question: If you could make changes to your university,
what kind of changes would you suggest?

 Your text, must include the following aspects:


1.   What are some of the issues that affect students’ productivity at UPB? Explain at least two.
2. What kinds of things would help to improve students’ productivity?
3. If you were in charge, what changes would you implement, and why?
4.  Your answer must contain 130 to 140 words and follow the format below.

One on the issues that affects student’s productivity at UPB is at the time they need
studied the silent places that suppose is better to study is really just one, the library, and
other places in the university don’t have that silences moment so concentrate is not easy,
places like boulevard, the building 11 o 10 and other places that they can concentrate.
Other issue is in the UPB isn't common places to get relax and have time for us, is
because this places are the same of the study places so is difficult get a difference, so
this makes difficult have spaces for the students to relax and have time for them.

Thing that would help to improve student’s productivity is have talks about the time
organization, because they would do first the important tasks and have time to relax, is
this because is balance fundamental for a good life, even if the UPB do this conversation,
I think this talk they are not well promoted and if we had an organized life, would have a
product life.

If I was in charge, I’d made talks in the boulevard about wellness in student life, because
is important to teach students that a balance life improves you psychological well-being,
and that makes your life more comfortable and productive in all aspect.

evidence of a coherent text (an appropriate organization
within the sentences that are according to the level).
Vocabulary: use vocabulary for describing how to
improve students’ productivity, connectors and
adjectives, and use a variety of word choice to make the
writing interesting.
Structure: produce the appropriate structures to
express ideas and use verb tenses for describing how to
improve students’ productivity.
Mechanics: make proper use of capitalization,
punctuation and spelling so it doesn´t interfere with the
meaning or communication purpose of the task.
