2. How did the performance tasks mold you as a future business person/ entrepreneur?

 In what way or manner?

 For what reasons?

A performance task is any learning activity or assessment that asks students to perform to
demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and proficiency. Performance tasks yield a tangible
product and/or performance that serve as evidence of learning. (Mctighe J. , 2015) Through these tasks I
have been exposed to a balanced approach by combining traditional fact-and-skill instruction. My
obtained knowledge and acquired skills is tested by practicing the application of the two into “real
world” situations. And it answers the question “How well can you use what you know?”. As a result of
doing numerous arduous performance tasks it had led me to develop and enhance my skills and
learning, which prepares me in being a future entrepreneur. For example, the main (2) skills that I have
developed are knowing how to Integrate 2 or more subjects/tasks and the ability of accepting reality. In
the business environment, it is vast and contains a lot of uncontrollable aspects. So in knowing how to
integrate 2 or more subjects/tasks, I can handle complex situations which involves in dealing with
unexpected obstacles effectively and efficiently or controlling the outcome that will not badly affect the
business. And the second one, the ability of accepting reality or the concept of ‘come what may’. As a
future entrepreneur, I know that my environment revolves around innovation, challenges and risks. And
because of the performance tasks that I have experienced I have tasted a bit of how harsh the ‘real
world’ is. This led to the realization that I have to accept ‘reality’, that I must not dwell on ‘what ifs’, that
I must not run away from the problem but accept and handle it accordingly.
