Exercise 1: Listening
Listen to three phone calls and look for these points:
● What is the purpose of each call?
● Do the callers know each other?

Exercise 2: Call 1
Listen to the first phone call and complete the expressions on the left. After that, choose among
the expressions on the right that have the same meaning as the expressions on the left.

4. When you realize that you have called the wrong number by mistake, do you wait and
apologize to the person or do you just hang up? Why?
