Appendix 1.1: List of Reputable Manufacturer

The manufacturers for the items of plant listed in Table A-1 below should be ISO 9001-2000
and ISO 14001-2004 and OHSAS 18001: 1999 certified and must submit such certificate
which is valid to date and should also submit their first issued certificate. The ISO certificate
must mention the product or service which is being sourced from the manufacturer.

Critical plant/equipment to be supplied under this Contract shall meet the minimum
criteria as set out in Table A-1.

All the equipment of different vendors shall be designed and manufactured in accordance
with the codes and standard specified in the Project Requirement (Section 4) of the tender
document.

If any equipment is designed and manufactured by any other code, then the Bidder shall
submit test certificates from international reputable quality auditor to justify and authenticate
that the material, design and manufacturing quality meets or exceeds the specified codes
and standards. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in rejection of the
subcontractor/vendor.

No exception to this requirement can be made during the Project execution.

Bidders shall furnish testimonies/certificates from the end user in support of the minimum
criteria for the following equipment listed hereunder in Table A-1.

model should have at least two (2) years reliable
operating history outside the manufacturer’s home
country with a minimum of 12,000 fired hours.

2. Steam Turbine i. Manufacturer must be in the steam turbine

manufacturing business for at least ten (10)
years;
ii. Manufacturer should have designed,
manufactured, supplied, tested and
commissioned at least two (2) units of similar
capacity with a minimum of 40,000 hours
operating hours and at least 6,000 operating
hours in one (1) year;
iii. Manufacturer must have supplied at least ten (10)
units of steam turbines of similar or higher
capacity outside the manufacturer’s home
country; and
iv. Manufacturer must have supplied steam turbines
of similar or higher capacity to at least three (3)
countries outside of the manufacturer’s home
country of which one (1) must be an OECD
member country.

generators of similar or higher capacity to at least
three (3) countries outside of the manufacturer’s
home country of which one (1) must be an OECD
member country.

4. HRSG Manufacturer must be one of those listed in Table A-

2 List of Reputable Manufacturers for HRSG. In
addition the proposed model should have at least two
(2) years reliable operating history outside the
manufacturer’s home country with a minimum of
12,000 hours.

5. Air Cooled Condenser i. Manufacturer must be in the steam turbine

condenser manufacturing business for at least
ten (10) years;
ii. Manufacturer must have supplied at least ten
(10) of similar or higher capacity units outside the
manufacturer’s home country; and
iii. Manufacturer must have supplied similar or
higher capacity units to at least three (3)
countries outside of the manufacturer’s home
country of which one (1) must be an OECD
member country.

6. Generator Circuit i. Manufacturer must be in the relevant

Breakers manufacturing business for at least ten (10)
years;
ii. Manufacturer must have delivered at least fifty
(50) GCB units of the proposed model or higher
capacity for gas turbine or steam turbine
generators;
iii. Manufacturer must have supplied similar or
higher capacity units to at least three (3)
countries outside of the manufacturer’s home
country of which one (1) must be an OECD
member country.

Manufacturer must be one of those listed in Table A-
2 List of Reputable Manufacturers for GSU
Transformers.
i. Manufacturer must be in the relevant
manufacturing business for at least ten (10)
years; and
ii. Manufacturer must have supplied similar or
higher capacity 275kV XLPE cables to a
minimum of three (3) TNB and/or SESB projects.
Manufacturer must be one of those listed in Table A-
2 List of Reputable Manufacturers for DCS.
i. Subcontractor must be in the relevant high
voltage substation and transmission line
contracting work for at least five (5) years;
ii. Subcontractor must have successfully completed
at least three (3) high voltage substation projects
with TNB and/or SESB; and
iii. Subcontractor must have successfully completed
at least two (2) high voltage transmission line
projects with TNB and/or SESB.
