I. Objectives:
During this 60 minutes class, the student will be able to;

a. Observe rules on subject-verb agreement


b. Rewrite a paragraph with correct subject-verb agreement, capitalization, punctuation, and indention.

III. Procedure:

B. Motivation: (10mins.)

Show pictures of subjects and verbs. Let the students combine them and make a simple sentence
observing SV agreement.

C. Discussion/Guided Activity

a. Recall the SV agreement rules and let the students answer the following:

a. Have the students copy the short paragraph below. It contains sentences with common errors in subject-verb agreement.

The number of recorded proverbs is unknown. A number of them are from the Tagalog regions. There are many
scholars who proved that other regions also have their proverbs. Still, there are those who think many proverbs
have not yet been recorded. Prof. Jose, as well as Prof. Lacsamana has the same belief. One of their findings is
important to many folk literature scholars. Prof. Ruiz, who studied their findings is very much interested in such
finding.

b. Require students to study if the sentences in the paragraph were written correctly.
c. Have the student to underline common errors, then rewrite the paragraph with correct subject- verb agreement
capitalization, punctuation and indention.

 Cut out pictures of subject (people/animals) that show action and construct sentence about it. Observe correct SV
