Dear Parent/Carer,

CucinA Re-Opens for On-Site Students

I am pleased to be able to let you know that our chefs will be back on site providing an all-day
service from Monday 22 June. The students who are working in the library, or those in Year 10
or Year 12 coming in for lessons, will be able to have access to food at breaktimes and at
lunchtime.

Our caterers have undertaken a risk assessment to be assured that food can be produced safely.
We have also completed a separate risk assessment, so that we can ensure that the dining hall
can be managed without any concern to students or our staff. Everyone will be required to wash
their hands before accessing the servery; individuals will be given a tray and cutlery; and social
distancing will be observed whilst eating. In addition, there is an enhanced cleaning regime in
place.

Pre-Ordering a Main Meal

During this phase of returning to school, we will be requiring the pre-ordering of main meals.
Should a student want a main meal, this needs to be ordered on arrival in school.

Once a student has ordered a meal, his/her account will be checked to ensure that funds are
sufficient, so please do make sure that the Tucasi account is topped up here. The account will
then be debited and the meal prepared for lunchtime. This process is to reduce food waste.

Students Eligible for Free School Meals

Should you son/daughter/ward be eligible for free school meals, he/she can still order the meal
on arrival. We will then arrange a reduction in the free school meal voucher for the following week
to off-set the spend.

The Weekly Menu

We are offering a reduced service at this time. The menu is now available on the school website
for your information here, enabling you to plan ahead.

Thank you for your understanding, and best wishes.

Yours sincerely,

Euan Ferguson
Headteacher
