Disposition can break down into distribution and elimination. After a drug penetrates the
systemic circulation, it passed to the body’s tissues.
Elimination defines the chemical conversion and physical elimination of the drug from
the body. Hence, removal is the sum of the methods compared to drug loss from the
body, namely metabolism and excretion.
Bioavailability describes the rate and extent in which the active drug ingredient
assimilated from a drug product and available at the site of drug action. Pharmacologic
usually associated with the concentration of drug at the place of drug action, the
availability of a prescription from a dosage form is a vital element of a drug product’s
clinical efficacy.
