I am applying for a place in the Electrical Engineering course under this scholorship, because I

am very interested in the topics covered related to this field. My interest in these areas was first
aroused during my undergraduate studies at Mirpur University of Science and Technology,
(MUST) Mirpur AJK, Pakistan where I studied Electrical Engineering and I chose to do a final
year research topic on “Home Automation System Using FPGA”. During my research I
sourced documents relating to Engineering and my interest was further aroused when reading
Verilog, VHDL and Digital circuit Design. I achieved a very high grade for my dissertation and I
am keen to build on my interest in research during the dissertation element of the course.Its
multiple features develop my interest so I choose FPGA in my final year project.I am expecting
to attain a first class degree which I hope will demonstrate my academic ability to study at this
level. I am particularly keen to study at the department of Electrical Engineering in your
University, because of your research interests in Field Programmable Array of excellence in
these fields. The international reputation of the department attracts such a variety of students and
I believe it will be a stimulating environment in which to study at Master’s level. Your
universities also provide excellent working and recreation facilities for graduate students which
demonstrate your commitment to the graduate student body.
I love studying new technologies, because inventions improve the world. Technologies involving
microscopic views and electronic elements are increasingly popular nowadays, and their
diversity of use will become even more important in the future. I wish I could have the ability to
improve the world. Therefore, I am looking forward to studying subjects of this kind at
universities, rather than treating it only as a hobby.
