Rehearsal Groups
You will work with your group in the asynchronous section to rehearse and record. Each member will take a
turn practicing. (You will work on your own first. In the group section in Blackboard you can communicate with
your team what time you will come together and who will send the zoom link & remember to set it to record/
or push the record button).

You have groups created in Blackboard.

During the Asynchronous portion of the session, you and your group will need to complete an independent task
and then come together to record. The person with the closest birthday to June 22nd will be the lead for the week.
The lead will email the group to arrange the recording, record the rehearsal while in Zoom, and upload and share
the recording to Torsh. The recording will be shared with each of your group members and ME via Torsh. The lead
will change each week in order of the next birthday.

Purpose of Task: Work on becoming a No- Nonsense Nurturer/ An Effective Educator that not only TEACHES but
INSPIRES!
Week 1 Scenarios/
Positive Framing-Precise Praise- Joy Factor
- Give the following directions for a turn- and-talk discussion: “Class, I
want you to turn to your partner and discuss the following question:
What are maps used for in daily life? I want you and your partner to
come up with a list of 5 uses in daily life.” : Utilize positive narration for
the turn and talk.
- Give students directions on how they need to move their desks and get
into groups of 4. Tell them you are going to time them to see how long it
takes. Tell them to start and utilize positive narration. If this takes to
long, tell them to move the desk back and try again. Tell them the goal is
to beat their first time. Repeat if necessary.
Possible Behaviors for Off- Task Students

- When asked to turn and talk to your partner, sit and stare
blankly at the teacher. When you do turn and talk to your
partner, ask them what they did last night, what shows they
watch on TV, etc.
- When asked to move your desk, move extremely slowly so as
to annoy your peers and/ or the teacher. When asked to do it
again, stay put and refuse to move your desk.
