RUF Briquetting Systems for wood and biomass

Survey Models:

RUF 100 – RUF 200 – RUF 400 – RUF 600 – RUF 1100 – RUF 1500

Mainly used for production of RUF Wood briquettes and for briquetting of paper and other
dry organic materials like cotton, straw etc.

Also suitable for different kind of plastic materials like Polyurethane and Styrofoam.

Different briquette sizes and layouts possible due to modular system

Capacities

The name of these machines describes the max. pressing performance of the press with
max. briquette size, related to wood briquettes., e.g. RUF 400 = maximum throughput of
400 kg per hour (Please note that this max. value depends on diverse factors like
precharger size, machine adjustments and the briquetting material itself).

Basic requirement for briquetting all of the mentioned materials is a maximum moisture
content of 15%. Feeding with maximum of 50mm grain size.

Remarks : The size of the precharger has a certain influence on the throughput of the
machines. The decision if a press (concerns only the models RUF 100 - RUF 600) will be
equipped with 150x150, 150x175 or 150x200 mm precharger, depends on the input
material and the requirements of the customer regarding capacity/briquette length.

The RUF 4 models for wood and biomass are always a choice for customers with small
quantities or who don't attach importance on the rectangular "RUF" shape !!

Attention should always be paid to the fact that a high residual moisture in the biomass
may result into a bad briquette quality and can damage the machine.

The photo shows briquettes of the same material but with different moisture contents.

The briquette on the left was produced with a moisture of 15-17 %, while the material for
the right one was dried down to 10 %. The difference in the quality is in evidence.
