- manual control: process is controlled by the process operator and the process conditions
and controls is adjusted directly.

- automatic control: process is controlled through continuous controller (P,PI,PID) to

control the measurements and conditions of the process.

a.). State ALL methods under Control Strategy

- on-off system, feedback system, feedforward system, ratio control system, cascade
control system, inferential control system, selective/override control system, adaptive
control system.

b.). Based from your answer in (a.), explain briefly THREE (3) methods.

- feedback system: closed loop control system. Feedback are used to make decisions on
changes to the control signal that runs the plant.

- Feedforward system: open loop control system. Measures the important disturbance
in advance and take action before the process is disturbed.

- Ratio control system: maintain the ratio of two PV at a specified value. Disturbance
variable and manipulated variable. Formula: R= u/d.
