    DEVELOPING LANGUAGE GAMES TO TEACH SPEAKING SKILL FOR


    INDONESIAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL LEARNERS

    This research aims at developing language games to teach speaking for the students joining
    English Study club as extra-curricular program at one of the State Islamic Senior High
    Schools in Gresik, Indonesia. The data were gained through interview and questionnaire, and
    observation checklist. The interview is conducted to study the frontend, specifying
    instructional objectives, and learner analysis. the suitable games to teach speaking for Fun
    English Club students were the games whose objectives were in line with the materials
    existing in Fun English Club. the researcher thought that the 50 games which exist in ―A
    Library of Games‖ handbook were the most suitable games since they provide equal
    objectives and answer the students‘ preference.
