Jolly Space Blaster

Materials:

Yarn: Worsted weight in 3 colors:

Color 1: (body & rings)
Color 2: (handle, barrel &
back)
Color 3: (trigger & blaster)
Crochet Hook: Size G
Tapestry needle
Fiberfill (or your preferred type of
stuffing)

All parts of the blaster are made in the

spiral, there are no joined rounds. Mark
your rounds with a stitch marker or
safety pin. Gauge is not important as
long as you keep your tension even
through the entire piece. Using a
smaller yarn and hook will give you a
smaller blaster, as well as increasing
the size of yarn and hook will give you
a bigger blaster.

Abbreviations:
st - stitch
sc - single crochet
inc - increase (place 2 stitches in next stitch)
sc2tog - single crochet 2 stitches together

Lines done in blue are stitches or special directions that are not repeated through out the pattern.

Using Color 1: (body & rings):

Row 1 - 7 stitches - sc 7 st into ring

Row 2 - 14 stitches - 2 sc in each st around

Row 3 - 21 stitches - [1 sc, sc inc] around

Row 4 - 28 stitches - [2 sc, sc inc] around

Row 5 - 35 stitches - [3 sc, sc inc] around

Row 6 - 42 stitches - [4 sc, sc inc] around

Row 7 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 8 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 9 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 10 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 11 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 12 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 13 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Using Color 2: (handle, barrel & back):

Row 1 - 7 stitches - sc 7 st into ring

Row 2 - 14 stitches - 2 sc in each st around

Row 3 - 21 stitches - [1 sc, sc inc] around

Row 4 - 28 stitches - [2 sc, sc inc] around

Row 5 - 28 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 6 - 28 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 7 - 28 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Leave long tail for sewing. Stuff, sew to back of gun. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Large ring:

Using Color 1: (body & rings):

Row 1 - 36 stitches - chain 36 join in a circle with slip stitch

Row 2 - 36 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 3 - 54 stitches - [1 sc, sc inc] around

Row 4 - 54 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 5 - 36 stitches - [1 sc, sc2tog]

Row 6 - 36 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing. Whip stitch rows 6 and 1 together. Sew to blaster body at row 23 in loops.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

Medium ring:

Using Color 1: (body & rings):

Row 1 - 28 stitches - chain 28 join in a circle with slip stitch

Row 2 - 28 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 3 - 42 stitches - [1 sc, sc inc] around

Row 4 - 42 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 5 - 28 stitches - [1 sc, sc2tog]

Row 6 - 28 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing. Whip stitch rows 6 and 1 together. Sew to blaster body at row 27 in loops.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

Small ring:

Using Color 1: (body & rings):

Row 1 - 22 stitches - chain 22 join in a circle with slip stitch

Row 2 - 22 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 3 - 33 stitches - [1 sc, sc inc] around

Row 4 - 33 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 5 - 22 stitches - [1 sc, sc2tog]

Row 6 - 22 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing. Whip stitch rows 6 and 1 together. Sew to blaster body at row 31 in loops.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

Blaster tip:

Using Color 3: (trigger & blaster):

Row 1 - 7 stitches - sc 7 st into ring

Row 2 - 14 stitches - 2 sc in ea st around

Row 3 - 14 stitches - 1 sc in ea st around

Row 4 - 7 stitches - [sc2tog] around

Row 5 - 7 stitches - Change to Color 2: (handle, barrel & back): 1 sc in each st around

Row 6 - 7 stitches - 1 sc in each st around

Row 7 - 14 stitches - 2 sc in each st around

Row 8 - 21 stitches - [1 sc, sc inc]

Fasten off , leave long tail for sewing. Stuff. Sew into front of blaster body in cone shape around row 35. Fasten off,

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing. Sew to front of handle section. Weave in ends.
