Career Experience
UPSON-LEE HIGH SCHOOL, Thomaston, Georgia August 2016 – present
2019/2020 - Taught three mathematic sections including Gifted/Honors Algebra 1, Algebra 1,
and Algebra 2 Support. Designed and presented comprehensive lesson plans which incorporated
scaffolding, ensuring that each student was able to retain and understand the materials at hand.
Developed unit-based projects that centered on real-world situations to show students the
importance of gaining a solid education and how math correlates with everyday life.
Incorporated various technologies in the classroom including smart boards, TI-84 Plus,
Chromebooks, and computer software. Collaborated with colleagues to plan, integrate new
activities and allocate effective resources.
 Introduced a new mathematics enrichment program for the support students who were not
ready for Algebra 1 during the first semester of the school year to prepare them for
Algebra 1 curriculum during the second semester. Utilized math manipulatives, graphing
calculators, and graphic organizers to assist with introducing this program. Cultivated a
fun and interesting learning environment which encourages questions and class
discussions. 96% of these students passed Algebra 1 after taking this class.
2018/2019 – Taught three mathematics sections including Gifted/Honors Algebra 1, Algebra
1, and Math of Finance. Implemented stimulating lessons to capture students’ attention and
interest. Utilized discussion-based lessons in order to promote a deeper understanding of the
concepts. Created and administered weekly quizzes, unit tests, and tracking of student
progress. Offered after-school tutoring to help struggling students improve their critical
thinking and problem-solving skills. Provided lunch and after-school tutoring for not just my
students but all Algebra 1 students for two weeks before Milestone testing.
 Developed thematic units that incorporated real world examples to introduce new
materials, consolidate important concepts, and encourage student learning.
2017/2018 – Taught four Algebra 1 classes, one Math of Finance, and one Study Skills.
Utilized math manipulatives and graphing calculators to assist with introducing new concepts
and enhancing students’ skills. Provided clear and consistent directions to keep the class
focused and on track. Gave praise and assurance to boost students’ self-confidence and self-
esteem. Cultivated a fun and interesting learning environment which encouraged questions
and class discussions.
 Offered after-school support to help failing students succeed. Incorporated graphic
organizers and materials tailored to meet diverse needs resulting in these students passing
with flying colors.
2016/2017 – Taught one gifted/honors Algebra 1 class and four Algebra 1. Devised lesson
plans that facilitated all styles of learners, promoted active participation, and drew
connections between the classroom and the real world. Promoted proper classroom etiquette.

and again from May 2007 through January 2008. Responsible for all system saves, core
processor releases, backups, PTF’s, tax reporting (printing customer tax notices and
submitting tax file to IRS), email management, internet banking and bill pay
administration, website maintenance, OFAC reporting, virus and spam filtering
maintenance, and all troubleshooting on hardware and software issues. Involved in
coordinating annual vulnerability scans and network penetration testing. Responsible for
daily and weekly balancing and replenishment and maintenance of all bank ATM’s.
 During interim IS period, designed new bank website and worked with representatives
from each department to gather all necessary data for the site.
