1. What Is Seller Central?

Seller Central is the online dashboard that controls every aspect of your
Amazon business from one location. It includes:

● Product listing
● Inventory
● Promotions
● Advertising
● And more

Each Amazon marketplace (USA, UK, EU, etc.) has its own Seller Central
dashboard.

Amazon has two different types of Seller Central accounts:

1. Individual: Starter account for people who are selling low numbers of
inventory. Sellers are charged per item sold. Includes limited access to
certain features.
2. Professional (recommended): For those selling higher numbers of
inventory. Includes access to all features within Seller Central and a
monthly charge of $39.99.

We highly recommend starting with a professional account, since you will
need to upgrade to this level anyway, once you order your inventory. Starting
with a professional account will save time in the long run.

You may use either business or a personal information to set up your Amazon
Seller Central account. Make sure that you have an EIN already, if you plan to
use your business details.

Note: You will not be able to change your business details once you enter
them, if you live in the UK or Germany. Please keep that in mind as you set up
your account.

2. What You Need to Set Up Your Account

Make sure to have the following things, in order to set up your Amazon Seller
Central account:

● Email Address: Preferably a unique email address just for your Seller
Central account
● Name: Either your name or your business name
● Address: Either your address or your business address
● Deposit Method: Bank Account or 3rd party service for receiving your
Amazon payment
● Charge Method: Credit card for paying the monthly fee (note: once you
start selling, the fees can be taken from your Amazon account instead
of your credit card)
● Documentation: To prove your identification (note: We will cover this
further later)
● Deposit method and credit card number

3. Where You Live Matters

In order to create a Seller Central account, Amazon requires proof of identity,
so your information has to be 100% real.

Additionally, Amazon will only make direct payments into a bank account in
certain countries. Make sure to download the PDF included in this lesson, to
find out which group you are part of.

There are four groups of countries:

Group 1:
● Amazon will pay directly into a bank account
● You can use all of your local information (bank account, credit card,
name, address, etc.)

Group 2:
● Amazon will not pay directly into a bank account
● You will need to use a 3rd party service to receive payments. We will go
into further details later on.
● You can use all of your other local information but make sure your credit
card can make international payments.

Group 3:
● Amazon permits Seller Central accounts to be set up, but does not show
a bank or payoneer option

● You can use your own information except the deposit method—select
USA for location of the bank

Group Four (Not Recommended):
● Amazon does NOT currently permit Seller Central accounts to be set up
from here
● If you want to continue with a Seller Central account, there are ways
around it, but it is not guaranteed.
○ Have a trusted friend or family member who lives in a Group One
country open the Seller Central account for you using their
information. The account must be made with their information,
not yours. Once the account is approved, have them add you as a
user. DO NOT login using their username and password.
○ Create an LLC in an allowed country (preferably the USA). This will
require a visit to the country where the LLC is based, and you will
need a bank account and address for the LLC.
