Matt and John Masters are planning a trip to Europe next October….departing the first week.
They are flexible and want you choose an appropriate date according to suppliers
researched.
They want information so they can make a decision on which products to buy.
They wish to fly to London via Bangkok – their airline fares have been arranged using
Frequent Flyer Points.
They want a 2 day stopover in Bangkok. Research this stopover and quote for a twin room at
a centrally located hotel. Give all details and provide a cheaper alternative.
On arrival in London they wish to stay in a 3 star hotel for one week. Give hotel information
and rates.
They want some sort of pass to travel the city and a day tour to see some countryside.
Recommend some products and quote on these.
From London they will travel by Eurostar to Paris where they will stay for 3 days in a
moderately-priced hotel on the Left Bank. Quote for the train journey and accommodation in
Paris. You decide the dates and time of departure for the train and hotel stay.
After this they wish to hire a car and drive south for 10 days dropping the car in a city in the
south of France.  They only have a backpack each and cannot drive a manual car. Are there
any cars available for this? Give Pick up and Drop off details and provide any further
information you must tell them.
They will stay in “this city” for 3 days and then catch the TGV back to Paris to connect to
their flight home.

1. Identify and access sources of product information – write down the name and
validity of every brochure, list every web address used. 
2. Select appropriate sources according to this scenario’s specific needs and list
these in detail. List all sources including web address etc.
3. Source the specific product information to meet the particular sales need.- List the
products you choose and supply a reference to the information by photocopying
the brochure/ e- brochure page number. Also supply rates so you can quote
costing.
4. Interpret any general information and apply this to meet the sales need –
include any general information about hotel locations / room types / city
sightseeing options / car rental information. Use codes where applicable and be
prepared to use in the role play section of this assessment. Convert any local
currency rates into AUD using the BSR.
