The M300C excavator hydraulic system uses four hydraulic pumps. Main pump (16) provides oil to 
main control valve (7). Swing pump (17) provides flow for swing motor (2). Fan pump (18) provides 
oil for fan motor (19) .

Aux/pilot/steering/brake pump (15) provides oil to the following components: 

• Steering priority valve (14) 

• Steering control valve (1) 

• Steering cylinder (40)

Solenoid valves in the pilot manifold direct pilot oil to the following components:

• Implement pilot valves

• Main pump (16) (powershift pressure)

• Swing pump (17) (pilot limiting)

• Travel pedal

• Travel motor (6) (creeper)

• Swing brake

• Oscillating axle cylinders (39) 

The remaining flow that is not used for the pilot circuit is directed to the circuit for the medium 
pressure attachment (if equipped).

The pilot valves control the various implement circuits, swing pump (17), stabilizer cylinders (41), 
blade cylinder (35) and travel motor (36) .

Pilot oil flows to the transmission clutches from the solenoid valve for transmission shifting and the 
parking brake solenoid valve. The travel motor (6) provides mechanical input into the transmission.

Main control valve (7) may be equipped with additional circuits such as the VA boom and auxiliary 
tool control.
