Pejman Abedifar

I am currently working as assistant professor in Economics and Finance at Tehran Institute for
Advanced Studies, Khatam University. I joined the University of St Andrews (School of
Management) in June 2014 as a lecturer in Banking and Finance. Before moving to academia, I
had been working in the EXIM bank of Iran for more than ten years (1997-2007). I was in charge
of International Finance department. 
I received my PhD from the Université du Limoges, France. My PhD dissertation examines three
different topics within the area of financial intermediation including Islamic banking, noninterest
income activities and finance-growth nexus.
My research work has published in journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal
of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Economic
Surveys, Review of Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money
and others.
