Definition

Conditional Mood:The conditional mood is a grammatical

mood used to express a proposition whose validity is
dependent on some condition. We often use the words if or
when to present an idea in the conditional mood.

When using the conditional mood, consider these words as a guide to how to
remember the format of the conditional.

A proposition is an idea to present.

To be dependent is to rely on something else for purpose. In this case, one

clause is dependent upon another.

The condition is the component that validates the proposition.
