RAMIREZ’S
75TH SURPRISE BIRTHDAY
Former US President Abraham Lincoln once wrote, “[And] in the end, it’s not the years in your life that
count. [But] the life in your years.” Tonight is a celebration of both the years and the life of Engineer
Edward Boado.
Good evening everyone, I am Patricia Bonifacio and I will be your host for this evening. All of us gathered
here have been a part of Engineer Ed’s life- one way or another. Kung baga, memory lane ang theme
natin tonight as we reminisce the good 60 years Engineer Ed has shared with us. Tonight is all about you,
Engineer Ed.
Because tonight, we celebrate you.
Ladies and gentlemen, the family of Engineer Ed. First we have,
1. Engineer Ramon and Mrs. Lynette Boado with their children, Lara and Lorenz Boado.
Civil Engineer Ramon Boado is the youngest brother of Sir Ed. He is married to Ma’am Lynette and they
are graced with two beautiful children, Lara and Baby Lorenz.
2. Mr. Rodel and Maria Isabel Ocampo with their children, Ronniel and Raizel Ocampo Mula naman po
sa landas ng masasarap na tocino, we have with us tonight, Ma’am Isabel Boado-Ocampo. She is a
graduate of Industrial Engineering from MAPUA Institute of Technology, which is also the alma mater of
our celebrant. She is the fifth sibling and she is married to Sir Rodel Ocampo. The couple is blessed with
two children- ay teenagers na pala, Ronniel and Raizel.
3. Mr. Raul and Mrs. Aida Lazaro with their son, Engineer AJ Lazaro Then we have Ma’am Aida Boado-
She is
happily
married to Sir Raul Lazaro, and together they are Mr. and Mrs. CPA, as both are accountants by
profession. They have one child, who is already an engineer himself like our celebrant, Engineer AJ.
4. Engineer Fernando and Mrs. Lyn Boado with their children, Jasher Kristian and Kathleen Joyce The 3rd
sibling is another Civil Engineer, Engineer Fernando Boado. He and his lovely wife, Ma’am Lyn, have two
children- Jasher Kristian and Kathleen Joyce.
5. Mr. Richard and Mrs. Aileen Boado with their children RJ, Richelle, Kate and CJ Ngayong gabi po ay
to be with his brother on his birthday. The second kuya to the Boado siblings is Sir Richard Boado. He is
blessed to have a happy family with his wife Ma’am Aileen consisting of four children, RJ, Richelle, Kate
and CJ.
6. Mrs. Natividad Boado And of course, none of the children would be here with us if not for their dear
Mama Nati, Engineer Ed’s mother.
Born on March 11, 1955 in Ilocos Sur to Ma’am Natividad and Sir Benjamin Boado, our celebrant is the
eldest of 6 children. He attended Ramon Magsaysay High School and went to Mapua Institue of
Technology for college where he took up Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a board exam
passer which formally granted him the title of Civil Engineer. Growing up, our celebrant has been very
hardworking. In fact, he stood as both the father and the eldest brother to his siblings when their father
passed away.
to confirm this later. After graduation, Engineer Ed taught at Mapua as a Professor of Surveying as his
first job. Currently, he is the Vice President for Operations in Oreta Constructions, Inc. Being as
dedicated to his family and career, our celebrant deserves this night to celebrate his special day with
people who matter to him. Friends and family, let us once again welcome, the man of the hour,
ENGINEER EDWARD BOADO!
OPENING PRAYER
[PRAYER]
WELCOME TOAST
[TOAST]
Thank you for that speech, Engineer Fernando!
Now people say that the most widely known language in any part of the world is music.
We have with us tonight,
_____________, to serenade us and to bring back memories of yesteryears. Please put your hands
together for ______________.
‘yun. But thank you very much ____________.
We shall hear more of their amazing sound later.
[PRAYER]
Thank you, Raizel! Before we proceed to the buffet tables, Engineer Ed will be going around tables to
have their pictures taken with our celebrant. Para po mas maayos at mas mabilis, we will divide the area
into two. While the other half, you may approach the
buffet table after Engineer Ed has taken a photo with your group.
Thank you and bon appetite, everyone!
PARTICIPANTS: 16
Everyone, please direct your attentions to the screen for this audio-visual presentation prepared by
Engineer AJ, a nephew of Engineer Ed.
[AVP]
See Engineer Ed, tonight, you are surround by people who love you. But aside from those that are in the
video, we have with us here tonight other people na gusto nila, personally ka nila ma-ggreet.
birthday naman ni Engineer Ed and everyone here is very eager to know more about him, pwede niyo po
So basically, magttoast tayo to all the good things and ang
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Ma’am Fe!
It is really good to have yourself surrounded by good friends that stand the test of
time.
Best Friend from Office- Engineer Ricardo Khan From college days to office days, Engineer Ed’s
officemate and best friend from Oreta Constructions Inc. is here to share with us kung sa bahay at office
Having known each other from sometime, Engineer Ed
considers our next guest as one of his mentors in the work place. Please welcome, Engineer Ricardo
Khan.

Game 2: HENYONG ED
Don’t worry, kayang kanya
mo ang ipapagawa namin sa’yo.
Kumpare- Engineer Artemio Santos We have another engineer to greet our celebrant our happy
birthday in the person of Engin eer Artemio Santos. He is another “BFF” and a kumpare of the celebrant.
(Baka sa kanya natin malaman if sa bahay and office lang ba talaga si Sir Ed).
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Santos!
[SPEECH]
BLOWING OF CANDLES
As in every birthday celebration, we have the blowing of the candles. May I request Engineer Ed’s family
to join him onstage as we sing him a happy birthday.
ADLIB
Hindi po makakalampas ang gabing ito na wala tayong naririnig from the celebrant himself. I would like
to call our celebrant, Engineer Ed, for a few words.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Ed! According to famous John Lennon, you should “Count your age by friends, not
years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.” With that said, if we do count Engineer Ed’s age by his
friends and by the smiles he paints on peoples’ faces, hindi lang siguro siya 60 years old ngayon. Siguro
100 na. Ngayong gabi po, nagkaroon tayo ng pagkakataon to celebrate life and all its blessings. From
tonight, we see another year in Engineer Ed’s life filled with happiness, love and joy surrounded by his
family and friends.
