Front stinger

A P PL ICA TI ON The front stinger is also needed when drilling downholes.

Front stinger is available for longhole feeds
LF 700 / LHF 2000 (DL310, DL320, DL330 -series) and
LF 1500 (DL410, DL420, DL430-series) rigs. The de-
sign of the front stinger varies between models.
D E SCR I PTI ON
The front stinger is used to stabilize the drilling feed
before the collaring of the hole. It is essential for the
hole quality that feed has as solid support as possible
during collaring and drilling.
Otherwise the boom has to support the combined weight
of the feed and rock drill during drilling. This can result
inaccurate drilling and load the boom excessively result-
ing a shorter service life of the components.
Operator can adjust the movement of the front stinger
from the control panel.
