Q3: Producing oil with an optimum reservoir flow rate is the main goal of production
engineering and this production optimization (Inflow and Outflow performance) can be
adapted controlled according to the available production conditions like: changing in the
nature conditions and changing in technical and economic conditions. Construct a 500 066-
words report to discuss the Production optimization by the aid of production engineering.
You Must Support your report literature with diagrams, figures, etc.

Answer:

Production Optimization By The Aid of Production

Engineering

There is no single strategy that ensures production optimization. Every

projects start with a unique game plan, whether it is about staying ahead of potential
pitfalls or finding solution to faltering production. An experienced production
engineer can help your production play out the way you wanted to. To understand of
your objectives analyze well data and design a life of wealth strategy that maximizes
production and minimizes operational expenses. The goal is to accomplish the
production process in the smoothest, most judicious and most economical way. This
essay discusses production optimization by the aid of production engineering. Firstly,
discusses the technical and economical restrictions that influence the decision of the
production engineer, and then, summarizes the outcomes.

Optimizing production requires complex and smart completion of wells. Smart

wells help operators to monitor the well-produced product or remote injection via
downhole valves with no additional well entrance, optimization of production wells
and reservoir administration. Based on output optimization, the economic benefit of
an intelligent well system are maximizing hydrocarbon production as well as reducing
production expenses due to simplifying of surface facility (Guo et al., 2014). Fig. 1
shows the components of a smart well completion.

The end aim of output optimization is an optimal result well. In this context a
common approach is "Nodal Analysis," and in particular, good productivity is defined
as a good inflow performance. It is method of evaluating the performance of systems
made up of interacting elements is used. IPR is the functional link between the rate of
production and node input pressure. The Outflow Performance Relation (OPR) is
defined as the functional link between outflow output rate and the node outflow
pressure. The work point of the system is the interaction between IPR and OPR
(Beggs 1991). Look at the Fig. 2 too see the interaction of OPR and IPR curve.

Well stimulation is a term that describes a number of operations carried out in

wells to enhance their productivity. Stimulation can be concentrated on the wellbore
or the reservoir. They can be carried out on all kinds of wells and so can be developed
for remediation. Stimulation of matrix stimulation and hydraulic fracturing are the
two primary forms of stimulation. "Acid fracturing" is done in hard carbonate
reservoirs. "Propped fracturing" is used in other soft carbonate and in other sandstone
reservoirs. Hydraulic fracture can be used for bypassing well-bore damage and
increasing well output by changing the stream from radial to pseudo-linear,

decreasing sand output and increasing access to the reservoir from the boreholes (Oil
and gas portal, 2017). Look at Fig. 3 to see how simulation affects production.

In conclusion, the production engineer should decide to rich the production

rate to its maximum rate without any damages of the reservoir and well, with the aid
of economists without losing money for nothing and regarding to the government
regulations. When the price of oil is low the production engineer should choose the
best way which is minimum cost and maximum production. It means the revenue of
the field should more than the cost of the filed.
