Police initially thought she had slipped and fallen from the stairs, but later confirmed she had intentionally jumped from the building. Her family said she had been mentally disturbed. On Tuesday morning when the residents of Divyansh Flora, a residential society
under Gaur City 2 in Greater Noida West, were enjoying the rainfall, they experienced a blood-curdling incident which shook everyone. A 26-year old woman from the society committed suicide by jumping off from the 15th floor building.
As per police, the incident occurred around 8:15 am. The deceased has been identified as Harsha Wadhwa. She was living with her sister Anjali and her brother in-law Amit Kamboj in flat number 1504 in Tower A. After the incident occurred, it was assumed that the woman slipped from the stairs, which caused serious injuries and death, however later it was confirmed that the women did not slip from the stairs but jumped from the building.
Police immediately rushed to the spot and her body was taken for postmortem. A police official said, “The family members of the deceased said that she was mentally disturbed, however we are investigating the matter from all the possible aspects to find out the truth.”
