CAB INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS


1. INTRODUCTION
Read and understand the information in this group to
ensure proper driving procedures and avoid hazardous
operating conditions. Be familiar with the normal use
and readings of the instruments and controls shown in
this group. Some specific groups contained in this
manual may be referred to in relation to an instrument or
control in this group. Read the groups referenced before
operating the vehicle.
The following figures and tables list and identify the
instruments and controls that can be factory installed on
your vehicle by OSHKOSH TRUCK CORPORATION. It
is important to note that not all the items shown will be
installed on your vehicle, as some items are optional
equipment or installed on specially equipped vehicles.
Additional instruments and controls added after the
vehicle leaves the factory will not be shown in this group.

to change, modify, or relocate the position or function of
instruments and controls without prior notification to

5 8 Low Voltage Warning Light Light illuminates when battery voltage drops to approximately 10-1/2 volts.
5 9 Speedometer/Odometer Indicates vehicle speed in mph/kmh, and total distance traveled in miles.
5 10 Engine Coolant Low Indicator Light illuminates when low engine coolant level occurs.

5 24 Transmission Oil Temperature Indicates temperature of transmission oil. An audible alarm will sound if the

5 25 Coolant Temperature Gauge Indicates cooling system temperature. Refer to the engine manufacturer’s
operation manual for specific engine operating requirements.
5 26 Oil Pressure Gauge Indicates engine oil pressure in PSI (kPa). Stop engine as soon as it is safe
to do so if low or no oil pressure is indicated. Refer to the engine
manufacturer’s operation manual for specific engine operating requirements.
5 27 Fuel Gauge Indicates level of fuel in the fuel tank. Fill the tank at the end of each day’s
operation to prevent condensation. An audible alarm will sound when the fuel
tank level is less than 13% and turns off when the level is above 18%.
