3 Display unit
Description

The display unit represents the operator-truck interface. It acts both as a display and
control unit for the operator.

Adjustments to the truck can be made by pressing the four short stroke buttons (43,
44, 45, 46). The LEDs of the 11 luminous symbols (41, 34-39,35, 40, 37, 42, 28-26)
can show 3 conditions: on, flashing or off.

The display unit gives information on the travel direction, steer angle, battery charge
condition and other selected truck parameters.

4.6 US standards
Continuous sound pressure level

– ND 18 / NR 20 / NR 23: 70 dB(A)
according to the test procedures of ANSI / ITSDF B56.11.5.

Z The continuous sound pressure level is a value determined according to standard

specifications, taking into consideration the sound pressure level during driving,
during lifting, and when idling. The sound pressure level is measured at ear level.

35
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

The manufacturer confirms compliance with the limit values for electromagnetic
interference and interference resistance and electrostatic discharge testing as set out
in the table below:

Interference resistance

The following limit values apply to industrial trucks/transportation systems:

Z High electromagnetic fields can adversely affect the performance of the industrial
truck. Similarly, systems which are highly sensitive to electromagnetic fields can
also be affected by the industrial truck. Make sure that the industrial truck’s
emissions do not affect the operation of systems in its vicinity.

Z Electrical or electronic components and their configuration may not be altered

without the prior written approval of the manufacturer.

WARNING!

Possible malfunction of medical devices due to non-ionizing radiation

Electrical equipment of the industrial truck that emits non-ionizing radiation (for
example wireless data transmission) may result in failure or malfunctioning of the
operator's medical devices (heart pacemakers, hearing devices, etc.). Consult a
physician or the manufacturer of the medical device whether it can be used in the
vicinity of the industrial truck.

07.14 US

36
4.7 Usage conditions
Environmental temperature

– during operation -18°F (-28°C) to +104°F (+40°C)

Z During constant use when there are extreme temperature fluctuations and relative
humidity condensation special equipment and approval is required for industrial
trucks.

Z During constant use under 41°F (5°C), special modification and approval is
required for industrial trucks.

4.8 Electrical requirements

The manufacturer certifies compliance with the requirements for the design and
manufacture of electrical equipment, according to "UL Standard for safety for Electric
-Battery-Powered Industrial Trucks".
