1. Introduction:

The main purpose of this project Cargo Management System is to developing for where daily

many customers sends goods from one county, state to other county. In order to deliver goods in

given time management system must be computerized and reduce manual work and provide

better quality. In this system customers to access information about the cargo quantity handled

within the company warehouse. This system allows the customers to easily access all cargo

related information. It is helpful in replacing the manual calculations of tallying to get the

cumulative bagging, cumulative dispatch etc. It can also prevent the maintenance of multiple

registers. This project provides to the customers to keep track of the cumulative bagging and

cumulative dispatch at the end of every day. This project also allows the users to generate daily

reports, and individual reports based on ship, warehouse, cargo etc

2. User Description:

Admin - the admin can manage whole system adding /removing employee, shipping, payment,

& Cargo details.

Customer -the customer can manage the system like change recipient address,

canceling cargo item, can change password,

 Employee - the employee can manage the cargo item from the customer and load into the

warehouse

3. Existing System:

The traditional cargo management system is completely manual and hence, tedious and much

time consuming. There is a high chance of losing and delivering the items to wrong recipients

due to misplacement of a single paper. So, a computerized and online management system is

an ultimate solution to such problems in Cargo-related systems.

4. Proposed System

The proposed cargo management system application performs multi-task in effective

management of cargo companies. The major aim of the generated application from the project

is to reduce the manual work and provide fast, comfortable, reliable and effective service. The

software can record data in the database, display billing details, inquire modules, and many

more.

As the implementation of software in cargo agencies reduces the number of workers and paper

works, it ultimately minimizes the overall expenditure of the company. Moreover, it helps the

company in its promotion though web technology.

5. Module Description

I. Inquiry module

We can track the cargo, using cargo id .we can track where the cargo is now without

Login in the site . Inquiry module is similar to search option. One can look for various

information such as number of items to be delivered, name of customer etc. by using this

module.

II. Registration module (customer)

For use, he will have to register. One person needs to put his all the details properly and

precisely as it will be helpful in identifying them. person who has booked for the cargo . It

also includes name, address, phone number for them who is driving and parameter too.

III. Booking module

The main detail after combining all the entities for final sending the shipment is on this

interface. here we have all the references for the ship, owner, user who wants to the

shipment, time, source destination, item, quantity, and few lines of the description which

make it easy to reference the final confirmation.

IV. Payment module

All the operations related to Payment, is managed by this module

V. Time delivery module

We can create, read, update and delete Time of delivery from this module

VI. Billing Module:

For the computation of overall income and expenditure in the cargo company, it is

necessary to make bills of each transaction. The bills are prepared and overall financial

calculations are performed through this module.
