Python | Block Programming
For the advanced AIoT project usually need to cooperate with
Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Hence, we have developed a New
Block Programming Language - Python in ObjectBlocks
website.
The Python block programming could be applied on Raspberry

Pi / Google AIY Kits etc. With block programming interface, not
only let the user code their RPi without a single line of Python,
user could also link between RPi and ObjectBlocks/Arduino
wirelessly with ease. This makes possible a much larger IOT
prototype with 2 most popular maker tools.
Apart from this, user may also configure their RPi with our App
- that is, no more need for an extra monitor, mini USB and/or
OTG cable. Just plug in the power and you are ready to go.

Inspired by the MTR(Hong Kong Metro) entry gates, some

students used RFID to control the servo to open a door, and
two pairs of laser head and light sensor to check whether
only one person passes through each time the door opens.

Smart Fan
Smart home / Smart City has become a hot topic in Hong

Kong. Realising that they could use smart devices to make
their lives easier, some students created this Smart Fan with
an electric fan, an H bridge and a temperature sensor. For
example, when the temperature is higher than 30°C, the fan
will be turned on automatically.

Pet Water Feeder
Some students created a Pet Water Feeder using a water

level sensor and LEDs. When the water level is low, the
LED will be on to remind the pet owner to refill water.

Sewage discharge 積水清除器
The concept is similar to the “Pet Water Feeder”. Students

used a water level sensor and a servo to create this
sewage discharge. When the sewage (water/rain) level is
high, the servo will turn upside down to discharge water.

Coin Dispenser Machine
Some students have made this system to classify the coins

by their sizes and make the coins fall into different
compartment. When the coins fall down, the Obstacle
Sensor will send a message to turn on the respective LED.

Sound level alarm
Student created a sound level alarm using different colours of

LED, button and sound level sensor. When the
surrounding is noisy, the alarm will indicate the level of sound
with different colours of LED. The sound level alarm has
become teachers’ good help to manage the class discipline!

an alcohol-level sensor, a button, three LEDs in
different colours, and a screen.
