Provide a succinct justification for why you should receive the above grade. Write this for
the assessment panel – tell them why you deserve this grade.

 For Pass: you need to demonstrate achievement of all Pass-level conditions.

 For Credit: you need to demonstrate achievement of all Credit-level conditions.
 For Distinction: you need to demonstrate achievement of all Distinction-level
conditions.
 For High Distinction (low – mark of 80-89): you need to demonstrate achievement of all
Distinction-level conditions as well as at least one of the High Distinction-level
conditions.
 For High Distinction (high – mark of 90-100): you need to demonstrate achievement of
all Distinction-level conditions as well as two or more of the High Distinction-level
conditions.

You need to systematically address all 12 assessment criteria and provide evidence that you
have achieved the grade-level conditions of the grade you think you have achieved. For
example, if you want to achieve a Credit grade, you need to provide evidence of having met
at least the Credit-level conditions (as per the Grading Criteria matrix) of all 12 assessment
criteria. Failing to address all relevant criteria will most likely result in a lower grade. Be

realistic what you have achieved – if you are aiming too high, this will reflect on your lack of
self-awareness and may result in a lower grade.

In this part, you can refer to any work you have completed (and can provide evidence for) in
the context of this project unit. Any work completed must be available either on your
Squad’s (i) Microsoft Teams channel, (ii) Bitbucket repository, or (iii) Trello Board, or as a
task submission on OnTrack. Other locations where evidenced work can be found must have
been explicitly approved by your Project Supervisor or Academic Mentor. Work that you are
referring to that is not available in the abovementioned locations cannot be used as
evidence of your contributions (and will be ignored during the grading process).

Part 2: Meeting of Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs)

Each Deakin degree course is designed to ensure that students develop systematic
knowledge of the discipline(s) they study. The Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLOs) describe
the knowledge and capabilities graduates will acquire and can demonstrate at the
completion of their degree course. Further, each degree course has so-called Course
Learning Outcomes (CLOs) which explain what the Deakin Graduate Learning Outcomes
mean in the relevant discipline(s) – the GLOs are “interpreted” in the context of the
discipline(s). Each Unit in a degree course is a building block towards both, the Graduate
Learning Outcomes (GLOs) and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) and defines a number of
Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs) that students successfully completing this unit will be able
to demonstrate. Each Unit Learning Outcome (ULO) covers one or more Graduate Learning
Outcomes (GLOs).

By using learning examples from this unit, please outline how you have addressed the ULOs
for this capstone project unit. More specifically, for each of the ULOs of this unit, provide
examples that highlight the corresponding learning experiences and discuss them in the
context of the GLOs and/or CLOs of your degree course covered by this ULO.

If your learning examples do not sufficiently cover each of the ULOs, please outline how you
intend to address the corresponding gaps when completing the second capstone project
unit.

Read and then delete this text… This is

where you present how you have
addressed the Unit Learning Outcomes.

Think about what you have learnt across the project unit and reflect on what you think were

What was the most interesting or valuable thing you learnt from this project unit? This could
be related to unit activities, or general things you learnt about yourself.

I still need to work on the following areas:

University is about developing lifelong learning skills. Given what you have achieved already,
what is the next step for you? How will you build upon what you learnt across this project
unit? This could be related to the unit concepts and skills, or to personal traits you identified
as needing further development.

The things that helped me most were:

What were the most helpful/useful resources? How did they assist you with completing
your project?

If I did the project unit again, I would do the following things differently:
Looking back, what is it that you think you could have done differently to help you achieve
the most you could in this project unit (both in terms of the unit concepts and skills, and in
terms of personal growth). How will you approach team-based projects in the future?
