Job description:
The details which can help one decide whether the job is relevant or not. Qualifications,
roles, responsibilities etc are included in the job description document which paints a
clear picture of what is expected from the particular role. XYZ is electronic company
which produces like washing machine, Television, Fridge etc. and the company needs to
hire 4 assistant marketing managers to help the Marketing Manager and the company has
decided to make vacancy announcement for the job. Below here is the job description for
the position of assistant marketing manager of XYZ Company Limited.
Summary:
This is a middle level job titled assistant marketing manager. The personnel is expected
to support the marketing manager by performing a plethora to task assigned to him/her.
And also helping in advertising of products, negotiating with companies and haggling

with services and product prices and create marketing strategies that will help in
increasing revenue.
Performance Standards:
Must also be willing to help in taking on the duties of the manager when the
marketing manager is not around.
Help in the compilation of their products by making a database for it and assist
the upper management by directing the employees to apply and follow the new
and up-to-date marketing strategies they have come up with.

Working Condition:
An assistant marketing manager needs to be at the office 8 hours a day during weekdays.
He/she works the typical business hours, but may need to extend his working hours to the
weekend if there is a project working on. He may be required to attend meeting and
seminars held outside the office.

There are several sources of recruitment. The sources include internal (within the
organization) and external (outside the organization). The internal sources further include
the methods like; job rotations, HR database, transfers, promotions, succession planning
etc and external include; internet, press advertisements, employment agencies and so on.
The above mentioned job is a middle level management job. Though internal recruitment
has its own advantages, the better choice might be to hire externally. Among the various
sources of external recruitment ‘press advertisement’ might be the ideal one. An ad in
national newspaper reaches to thousands who fulfill the specifications and have
willingness to apply. Still today, newspapers and magazines are popular choice among
