Job description:

Job description is an informative documentation of the scope, duties, tasks,


responsibilities and working conditions related to the job listing in the organization
through the process of job analysis. Job Description also details the skills and
qualifications that an individual applying for the job needs to possess. It basically gives
all the details which might be good for both the company and the applicant so that both
parties are on the same page regarding the job posting. Basically, job analysis is
bifurcated into two components namely job description and job specification. Job
description is the most important thing which a candidate gets about a job listing. Job
description gives all the relevant and necessary details about a job.

The details which can help one decide whether the job is relevant or not. Qualifications,
roles, responsibilities etc are included in the job description document which paints a
clear picture of what is expected from the particular role. XYZ is electronic company
which produces like washing machine, Television, Fridge etc. and the company needs to
hire 4 assistant marketing managers to help the Marketing Manager and the company has
decided to make vacancy announcement for the job. Below here is the job description for
the position of assistant marketing manager of XYZ Company Limited.

Summary:

This is a middle level job titled assistant marketing manager. The personnel is expected
to support the marketing manager by performing a plethora to task assigned to him/her.
And also helping in advertising of products, negotiating with companies and haggling

with services and product prices and create marketing strategies that will help in
increasing revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Assist Marketing Manager in planning and supervising marketing operations to


achieve revenue target.
 Coordinate with Brand Manager in developing marketing plan and budget.
 Analyze sales data and determine sales forecast.
 Conduct marketing campaigns and trade shows to promote brand awareness
among consumers.
 Assist in designing and developing marketing collaterals and promotional
materials.
 Maintain customer relationship programs and track customer satisfaction. 
 Collaborate with Advertising Manager to initiate new consumer promotion
campaigns and to develop consumer engagement plans.

Performance Standards:

  Must be able to conduct training as well as produce training materials,


presentations and handouts. 

 Must also be willing to help in taking on the duties of the manager when the
marketing manager is not around.
 Help in the compilation of their products by making a database for it and assist
the upper management by directing the employees to apply and follow the new
and up-to-date marketing strategies they have come up with.

Working Condition:

An assistant marketing manager needs to be at the office 8 hours a day during weekdays.
He/she works the typical business hours, but may need to extend his working hours to the
weekend if there is a project working on. He may be required to attend meeting and
seminars held outside the office.
