Answer all the questions
1. Monthly incomes of A and B are in the ratio 2:3 and their
monthly expenditures are in the ratio 3:5. If each saves
Rs100 per month, find the monthly expenditures of A
and B (2 marks)
2. Walking 5 kmph a student reaches his college 4 minutes
late and if he walks at 6 kmph , he reaches 1.5 minutes
early. What is the distance from his house to the
college? (3 marks)
3. A motor company Ltd. has observed that a 85% learning
effect applies to all the labour related costs whenever a
new product is taken up for production . The anticipated
production is 320 units for the coming year.The
production is done in lots of 10 units each. Each lot
requires 2450 hours @ Rs15/hr. Calculate the total
labour hours and the total labour cost to manufacture
320 units.
