We begin our journey with a drive that will take us from the urban

to Spiti
terrains to Shimla - where we get our first taste of Himalayas.

Chandratal Day 2 We start driving from Shimla after some delicious breakfast and
start driving towards our second Himalayan destination - Sangla

Kibber Day 3 Today, we visit Chitkul - often called the last Indian village, making

505 national park, making our way back to Kaza.

(6 - 7 hours)
We drive Ki Monastery, making our way to the highest post office of the
world - Hikkim, heading to the picturesque village of Langza, Komik.

Kaza - Tabo - Dhankar - Lhalung

Day 7 Today, we drive towards the 1000 year old Tabo Monastery,
(5 - 6 hours) trekking our way to Lhalung from the ancient village of Dhankar.

(7 - 8 hours) We commence our journey back home on the Manali - Kaza road.
Narkanda stopping at another Spitian wonder - the beautiful Chandratal Lake.

(6 - 7 hours) We continue driving on the Kaza - Manali road, passing through
Rohtang pass to reach Manali.

Day 10 We check out of our hotel at noon. Explore the town of Manali
before making our way home.

Chandigarh for the Himalayan
town of Shimla. Enjoy the
comforts of a luxurious Toyota
Innova, as your driver takes
you from the plains into the
mountains at Shimla where
you get your first taste of the
Himalayas. Shimla today is an
attractive blend of a hill, town
and holiday resorts. As there is
no sightseeing scheduled for
this day, you are free to rest at

On the second day of this Spiti

Valley tour, we start our epic
Himalayan road trip today
and start driving to Sangla.
With the Baspa river magically
weaving itself through the
forested slopes, this exquisite
95-kilometer stretch of the
Sangla Valley is a sight to
behold. Known predominantly
for its agriculture, almost
every house in Sangla will have
cultivations of apples, pears,
walnuts, apricots or potatoes.

On the third day of this Spiti

Valley Tour, we have breakfast,
basking in the first rays of the
sun, and later head towards
Chitkul. Chitkul can be
described as one of the most
scenic settlements in the valley
and the last inhabited village
before the India-China border.
This short drive from Sangla to
Chitkul will be one of the most
scenic drives you’ll take with
plenty of opportunities to take
stunning photographs.After
spending time in Chitkul, we
turn around and head to Kalpa.

Today, the landscape changes

from green-mountains to
desert-mountains. We continue
our journey through Kinnaur
and enter the Hindustan-
Tibet Highway - often called
the world’s most adventurous
roads. We drive via Puh, which
is the last fuel station on this
road before Kaza. After a fuel
refill, we drive towards Nako,
a village situated at 3600m ,
finally making our way to Kaza
- the district capital of Spiti
Valley.

Pin Valley - Mudh
Village - Kaza

Imagine a national park with

an abundance of animals and
birds, with some rare plant
varieties, a river that gushes
when it isn’t frozen and
trekking opportunities for the
adventure-seekers. The Pin
Valley promises all this and
more. We first visit the Kungri
Monastery and then the
beautiful hamlet of Mudh – the
last motorable village of the Pin
Valley. We return to Kaza in the
evening.

Today, we visit the world famous

Ki Monastery, situated at a
height of 13,668 feet. Then we
will move farther down the
valley to the picturesque village
of Kibber. Next, we drive to
Komik - The highest village
in Asia, Komik, which literally
translates to ‘eye of a snow
cock’, is situated at a height of
4513 metres. After Komik, we
head to Hikkim - which houses
the highest post office in the
world, making our way to the
picturesque village of Langza.
We return to Kaza in the
evening.

- Tabo - Dhankar -
Lhalung

After a delicious breakfast, we

continue our Spiti Valley tour and
drive towards the only other
town of Spiti Valley – Tabo.
After spending a couple of
hours at Tabo, we drive towards
Dhankar. Perched high above the
confluence of the Spiti and Pin
River, in a hidden bowl, is the tiny
hamlet of Dhankar. The
former capital of the Royals
of Spiti Valley, also known as
the Nono, who ruled the dust-
coloured badlands of Spiti Valley.
Later, we take a short drive to
Lhalung – another beautiful high
altitude Spiti valley village.

This day, we commence our

journey back home and trace
our steps back on the Kaza –
Manali road. However, we take
a last stop at another Spitian
wonder – Chandratal Lake. The
mystical and beautiful Lake,
which translates to “Moon
Lake”, is located at a height of
14,000 feet. The camps near
the Lake are equipped with
camping equipment including
tents, sleeping bags / blankets
and a comfortable mattress.
