Culture and religion are related to each other in many ways. The daily practice of
religion involves communities whose cultural norms are
compatible with the religion's teachings and principles. From the start, even as
kids, we end up believing in and supporting what we are told to believe and value through cultu
ral practices and beliefs. For example, if you live in the Philippines, then there is a huge chance
that your religion would be Christianity because of a cultural factor which is geography. Another
example is the Muslim culture where they are very particular when it comes to etiquette and
diet. So, they have adopted this practice into their religion by not eating, touching, or giving a
gift with their left hand, because they think that it is evil.  In conclusion, cultural influences shape
a certain religion both internally and externally. Most of the time it is what affects how we see
ourselves, as well as binds and builds a strong connection in societies all over the world. To
quote Christian Salituro, “Because you are part of those groups, you are more likely to think in
certain ways, behave in certain ways because our culture influences those groups to think and
behave in those ways."

Geography is what mainly influences a specific country's religion. Most people are born into
their religion, so there is a high chance that your belief structure right now depends on
where you were raised as a child and what your family's values and traditions are ever since
time immemorial. Several characteristics of religions, their advancement, and influence
throughout the years are deeply linked to geographical factors.
Religion also affects where a person lives. If you're a Catholic living in the Philippines, then
you most likely have conservative views on social issues such as abortion, same-sex
marriage, and the like. You may also be following tenants and have a strong sense of
fatalism expressed in the phrase such as "Bahala na" and other superstitious beliefs. Lastly,
your family may be praying every night with a rosary during Angelus bell that rings at 6:00
PM.
To put it simply your religion and geography are interconnected, and both influence each
other in ways you can think of.
