Standards:
We have considered for the verification of the steel members the Manual of Steel
Construction of the American Institute of Steel Construction Inc. AISC .
All members satisfy a deflection limit under service loads of L/360 and in overall the
Structure has a drift under gravity loads of 5mm.
Method of analysis:
The structure has been modelled & analyzed using the computer program Staad Pro and
thyssenkrupp factory calculation. The structure model is composed by linear members and
joints. At the bottom joints have been assumed as fixed supports and wall support is to be
only transmitting the horizontal forces (FX & FZ only).
Calculation results:
We include attached to this criteria a report including the input data, geometry,
mechanical properties of members, buckling factors, load cases, displacements,
reactions, stresses, demand/capacity factors, deflections. We also include some 2d
views showing joint labels and geometry as well.

The geometry adapted for the model of the structure is based on the Architectural
Drawings
Materials:
All members used in the structure are specified as ASTM A36 (equivalent to the BS EN
10025, Grade S275 JR).
Lateral supports on R.C.: we understand we will attach the structure to the concrete
When ever we have floor slab. Therefore we will have 2 supports whenever the floor
slab exists on both side at any particular level in order to minimize the load transferred to
the main structure.

SL1~SL4 Lifts machine bed load acting points. The base plate size are mentioned in the GAD,
which is designed based following force loads.

For installing the traction machine, the height of scaffold on the top floor can be adjusted on the actual
needs to provide enough space to install the traction machine, Shaft Top Beam of traction machine and
Governor Assy. The Traction machine, Shaft Top Beam of traction machine and Governor Assy. should
be suspended at the entrance of landing door on the top floor, so the scaffold should answer for the void
requirements of suspending. The safety requirements of scaffold can refer to the R000000241
<EC001-TS Preparation for Elevator Installation>.

Conclusion:
1) As a result of our analysis the member are found safe as per AISC ASD design code.
