Personality development is very important in human relations because it helps
you develop an impressive personality and makes you stand apart from the rest. It
reduces stress and conflicts with regards to interacting to other person. Also, it helps
you develop positive attitude in life.
5. How can a person developed his Personality? Cite examples in each behavioral traits? (20
pts.)
A person can develop his personality through the development of his behavioral
traits.
1. Interpersonal skills - The skills we use every day when we communicate and
interact with other people, both individually and in groups. They include a wide
range of skills, but particularly communication skills such as listening and
effective speaking. They also include the ability to control and manage your
emotions.
2. Communication skills – The skills that involves listening and effective speaking.
3. Leadership qualities – “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and
shows the way” by John C. Maxwell. For example, honesty and integrity,
confidence, inspire others, commitment and passion.

1. Perfectionists - realistic, conscientious and principled

2. Helpers - are warn, concerned, nurturing and sensitive to other people’s needs

3. Romantics - has sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive

4. Achievers - are energetic, optimistic, self-assured and goal oriented

4. Asserters - are direct, self-reliant, self-confident and protective.

6. Questioners - are responsible and trustworthy. Ex: Shabana Azmi
7. Adventurers - are energetic, lively and optimistic. They want to contribute to the
world. Ex: Vijay Mallya - NRI businessman
8. Observers - have a need for knowledge and are introverted, curious, analytical and
insightful. Ex: Amartya Sen - Great economist
9. Peacemakers - are receptive, good-natured and supportive. They seek union with
others and the world around them Ex: Atal Bihari Vajpayee
