FACTORS AFFECTING PERSONALITY

1. Heredity – everybody is born with a set of genes and chromosomes
which are inherited from ancestors and parents. These set the limits to
the potential achieved to the fullest by the proper use of environment,
our experiences over the years, especially our interaction with other
people.

2. Environment – consists of the family, school, church, social groups and

other groups with whom one interacts with from the beginning. Each
group puts pressure and behave in certain ways as a result of being with
these groups.

The behavior changes with each situation and with the people
one mingles with. Each person behave differently with his own friend,
parents, teachers and other elders.

3. Experiences – consists of everything that a person does or get in touch

with, everything that one is exposed whether physical, emotional or
social experiences.
